We WON! 🎉

At this week’s National City and Regional Magazine Awards, Boston Home was named Best Ancillary Publication, beating out four other finalists in the category and countless submissions from magazines across the country. The competing magazines spanned a variety of editorial focuses—not only Home and Shelter, but also Weddings, Sports, Business, and Food.

More than 100 judges from media outlets selected the finalists, and our Summer 2025 issue took home the top honor. The judges had this to say: “As elegant and stylish as the content it features, Boston Home makes a standard special issue feel fresh. Gorgeous styling and photography balance well with solid editorial that’s packed with ideas and inspiration.”

This recognition means so much to our team because it shows that the work we’re passionate about resonates with our peers. Huge thanks to all of our supporters and the Boston design community as a whole, it goes without saying that we wouldn’t be here without you!

A hometown moment we’ll never forget. 🤍

We are incredibly honored to be featured in Boston Home Magazine as we officially welcome this next chapter for Georgia Zikas Design, our new South Boston studio.

After years of building our firm between New York and Connecticut, opening the doors to our 2,700-square-foot studio at 60 K Street feels deeply personal. What started as a small “postage stamp” office in the Seaport quickly revealed that Boston felt like home again, and this new space marks an exciting evolution for our team, our projects, and our clients throughout New England and beyond.

Thank you to Boston Home Magazine for the feature and to Stefanie Schwalb for such a thoughtful and beautifully written piece that captured this milestone so meaningfully. And a special thank you to Sean Litchfield for photographing our new Boston studio exactly as we hoped every guest would experience it — warm, layered, welcoming, and full of life.

Taking the Reins: In Chestnut Hill, a turn-of-the-19th-century carriage house and horse stables find new life as a sophisticated lounge and guest retreat. Architect Michael Tartamella of @patrickahearnarchitect and designer @katecoughlininteriors preserved the property’s historic charm while introducing a pub-inspired palette—think mahogany, brass, Savile Suiting wallcoverings, and a glossy leather-look ceiling that nods to the Polo Bar in New York. 🐎🍸

The transformation turns what was once a working stable into a vibrant entertainment space, complete with glass French doors that fold open to a new patio. “It’s almost like another destination you can go to on the property,” says Tartamella.
