POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🎯On Saturday, we intentionally chose a picnic setting to step away from our usual environments and create space for reflection, creativity, and meaningful conversations.

We came together to share our vision boards our goals, aspirations, and the futures we are actively working toward. Beyond the creative process, we engaged in open and honest discussions around women’s realities, personal growth, leadership, balance, and shared challenges, with the presence of supportive allies enriching the dialogue.

Having these conversations outdoors, in a relaxed and respectful atmosphere, allowed for deeper connection and authentic exchanges. It reminded us that empowerment thrives in inclusive spaces where voices are heard, perspectives are respected, and support is mutual.

Creating intentional spaces like this is essential for growth, clarity, and collective empowerment. When vision, community, and allyship come together, meaningful progress becomes inevitable.

🌸 Empowering Girls & Women: Access to Justice Matters🌸

This past Saturday, November 29th, my amazing team and I facilitated an interactive consultation on “Ensuring and Strengthening Access to Justice for All Women and Girls”, focusing especially on adolescent girls and young women in Cameroon. The session was lively, engaging, and deeply insightful, with participants confidently sharing their experiences, what they’ve seen in their communities, and ideas for change.

Through role-plays, games, and discussions, we explored the barriers girls face—from family neglect and harmful traditional practices to financial, institutional, and digital challenges. A particularly striking moment showed how emotional neglect at home pushes some girls into unsafe situations, highlighting the urgent need for family, community, and legal support systems.

Participants also identified solutions, including child-friendly justice systems, legal literacy campaigns, stronger enforcement of laws, and psychosocial support for survivors. Their voices will inform recommendations to improve access to justice and protection for girls and women across Cameroon.

This work reminds us: justice is a right, not a privilege. Together, we can build safer communities where every girl and woman is empowered and protected.
