▪️Life’s goal should be to forever find ways to breathe in the serenity of the scenery.

This exquisite bathroom in @stellarviolets cottage is a reminder to create spaces that not only look stunning, but feel beautiful while you’re in them. We feel very fortunate to have created these combination bath pillar taps and copper shower with 140mm copper rain head for this space.

Nearly 2 years ago I flew to WA for a full immersion into the future visions of @stellarviolets (which are brilliant by the way). A bunch of ideas flowed from that trip but one that I’ve been brewing ever since has been that of a hand painted landscape in the form of a shower curtain. And now, here it is!

Through abstract painting I am interested in capturing and interpreting places of environmental significance. I have been, for a while, translating them onto large pieces of linen which have taken the form of bedding and hanging pieces, but this kind of product is a first.

This place is Yeagerup Dunes, a place where the sand eats about 5km of forest every year, but is some 30km from the ocean.

Through a lot of research I have successfully waterproofed the fabric. This commission will now live in the newly refurbished Stellar Violets cottage which will be opening up for guest visits very soon.

I feel a real sense of privilege and honour to be included in this space that has been the dreamt up and is finally being realised. And I can’t wait to visit!

We enrich our lives tending the places we live.

I often remind myself, that in the chaos and conflict of the world, the one thing I know I can do, is take care of the home.

Trying to make sure the tendrils reach out to connect us to each other. Creating a felt sense of home, warmth and aliveness in the places we live. And Remembering that beauty is essential for the soul!

I never considered myself a home maker…
Even though I watched my mum and dad tend our home in the garden, building kitchens and generally celebrating life… somewhere along the way I lost my own connection to it.

But I feel elated watching my partner tending this little sit spot with dichondra straight from the gardens of @stellarviolets ✨🪻

POWER in friendship ⚡️
One of these women followed her dream back to her heartland and is now the architect and dream maker of @stellarviolets @lucinda_escence
⚡️
The other, is the new Mayor of Margaret River 🎩 and about to unleash a world of change with a focus on sustainability and better communities @juliajeanrice
⚡️
I’ve known both these women since I was 5, but truly reconnecting as humans in our 30s has meant we’ve supported each other through enormous life changes and growth. Here’s to another 38 years of friendship ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Last week I had the pleasure of returning home to Manjimup to spend time at @stellarviolets to think through, design and collaborate on their new accommodation and experiences offering. It was a truly magical ✨ experience and I felt incredibly fortunate to be part of the journey that was full of trust, heart and intuition.

Thank you
@lucinda_escence @sjpdooley for bringing @loripensini @vive_and_co @jobelini all together for a power session . It is truly a sanctuary ❤️
