Was it really only a week ago today?! It was. Amazing women in business travelled from all over Gippsland and Melbourne to be with us for our Winter Solstice Gathering at @toorongovalleyestate We seeded dreams, expressed gratitude for our business, created nature art together, ate delicious food and chatted by the roaring open fire. The absolute perfect way to spend the winter solstice. Thank you to all who came and shared so openly. Sign up above to be a part of our community and be the first to receive our next invite. A huge thank you to Lauren from @stellaspantry for her generous food donation today. When an order was cancelled, Lauren immediately thought of our community and ensured the food didn’t go to waste. Acts of kindness like this make a real difference and help us continue to support those doing it tough. Thank you, Lauren, for thinking of others and helping us feed the need. 💜

To be completely honest, I’m not even sure that I have time for this page (this is one of my 4 IG pages #why 🤣). Why start a personal biz page, when I barely have time for my biz page? No time to wash my car… no time for a haircut (ironically I’m writing this whilst my 14 year old gets his hair cut). What I’m finding is that after 8 years of solo biz ownership, and now 18 months of company ownership, is that biz can often feel lonely. And you know full well that it can’t just be you struggling at times with the rollercoaster that is hospo biz life (I KNOW I’m not alone! Right? 🤣). And that in social media land (a land I spend a fair amount of time in), there is little (relatable) content for people who purchased an existing biz. “Founder” content? It’s everywhere, and a lot of it is really good. “Biz purchaser” content? I’m yet to see it. And our worlds are quite different. So I’m here to ramble to anyone who’ll listen…. If you’re a biz owner, working parent, manager or foodie you may get something out of following along (and thanks for being here!)… if you’re none of these things then you may wonder what I’m crapping on about 🤣 I’m Lauren / Loz. Not Stella, yet I’m the owner / Director of a fab foodie place called @stellaspantry Come for the cheese platter pics, real life biz chats, BTS of what hospo is really like, and all this juggled w two teen boys, a hubby and a dog 🐶

I don’t usually jump on trends, but this one felt oddly well-timed. These photos are from 2016 - the year I started Mac&Ernie. A massive year! My kids were 5&7 - my baby off to school the next year 😭 The Warragul Farmers’ Market turned 3 - or really 5, if you count the planning before we launched. I started running my first social media workshops in April - Create Amazing Content - and they sold out every time (still makes me smile). I went to Melbourne Fashion Week with my client (now friend) @janesahhar whose brand made it onto the catwalk for the first time that year and we had to work through a very public and deeply awkward yoga session 😬 My dear friend DJ Nige was asked to play at @beyondthevalleyfest, which meant making a promo video roaming around the area - including a stop at a friend’s alpaca farm, obviously (🩶Ange). Nige keeps getting asked back every year (because…awesome). There were first client Christmas gift cookies (thanks @_blueandruby_ ) lots of time with local business women, and the early days of relationships that still matter deeply. Looking back through these photos, what stands out isn’t the work or the milestones - it’s the people. So many of the relationships that started back then are still strong today. Maybe that’s the real measure of doing something right. Now I’ve posted this, can I still get nostalgic in March for my tenth birthday? 😎 _ #2016 #tbt

My eyes have been too tired to read lately, so I’ve been listening to Grounded Success as an audio book, so it was a bit surreal hearing @keminekvapil reading in real life tonight 😍There’s something really lovely about being ‘read to’ and it’s not often you actually meet the narrator of the book you’ve had in your ears. Kemi thank you for sharing time with us tonight and thank you @westgippslandwomen for putting on another amazing event. I loved meeting new friends and spending time with women I’ve known for a long time. I’ll be thinking about this time in my life differently now. Grab this book. It’s wonderful. It’s kind and thoughtful and will help you find a little bit of peace in this world gone mad. ✌️ _ #westgippslandwomen #femalefounders #groundedsuccess #womenownedsmallbusiness #warragul #locallove
