Step is Jeremy Cornish, a bass music producer from New Zealand now based in South Australia, and his own description of the project reads more like a manifesto than a bio: hallucinatory soundscapes, deep vibrations, captivating textures, intoxicating broken beats. @step.nz

Todays the day where we gather to support a good cause. I don’t know why the gov think it’s ok to cut down these precious trees? Crazy world. Be on at 10pm! With Jenk/Krita

This one is special; it hits so close to home; literally, physically, emotionally this is important to me and to so many others in our community.
Growing up close to the city, the parklands have always been a place I’ve sought shelter, comfort and peace, just like the wildlife that I’ve so often encountered there.
The trees on this land have seen the bounce in my step after a good night out, listened to my late night frustrations, considered my grief stricken poetry and held me in comfort while soaking up my tears on early morning walks home; more than many people ever have.
The idea that our government is so willing to destroy this vital ecosystem and refuge for so much life and wonder; to pave paradise for a Motorsport circuit is deplorable.
Come join me and the amazing people who love this land in a demonstration, party and call to action tomorrow as we drop the beats to stop the chop!!!

We are gathering on a beautiful bush block in Mylor, South Australia, bringing together live and electronic music, food, Kirtan/Bhajan, drumming circle, and tea ceremony 🫖

A family-friendly event focused on bringing community together to enjoy an afternoon amongst the trees and each other.
There will be time for sitting and appreciating live performances and sound throughout the first half or so and time for stomping on the earth and getting dooooooown to some DJ sets later in the night 🕺🏼💃🏼
And, if all goes to plan, perhaps a sneaky and beautiful other performance somewhere in the middle of it all.

Come from 2pm and stay as late (midnight finish), or as early, as you wish.

There will be an offering of food available to purchase on site (it's delish and sold out last time so don't miss it!)🍲

We will post more about the musical offerings, introducing each artist/group and what they will be bringing as we get closer to the event.

We hope to see you there! 🎪🎪

It's that time of year again, where I get to fly down to freezing cold Adelaide to play some new originals and some of my favourite music out in the bush at my favourite festival! @wavecult_ !

Imbolc 2026, I honestly can not express my gratitude and excitement to be able to fly interstate for this, for the 3rd year in a row! It's an absolute blessing and privilege and is the highlight each year I've been invited.

I have met some of the most amazing and talented, creative spicy brain people like myself there. Created life long friendships and memories and I'm excited to do it again!

Looking forward to everyone I get to see again, and any new faces I meet. See ya on the otherside!

this week on low pressure, we’re joined by new zealand-born, adelaide-based producer and selector @step.nz

with over a decade of production behind him, his sound explores the deeper edges of bass music. Rooted in dubstep, but pushing into hypnotic, textured and psychedelic territory.

we’ll also be talking through his leviathan ep on @sirdubmuzik , recent sets, and a few things beyond music.
