Sue me! I love my bday! And I’m cheesy!

Especially when I get to throw an awesome rager even if my cantaloupe pie didn’t set, but so many friends new and old came! And mingled! Then I got to bring my fave Dani girl with me to the cape to help cater a wedding in the middle of a nor’easter and I also got to ride my bike alone to celebrate being 31 and being alone and feeling awesome about it!!! Cheers to making the most of things going “wrong” but actually making life so much better

Fiiiiinally catching up on some things. I haven't stopped thinking about this beautiful dinner I did for an upcoming issue of @homecookedmagazine . It was an absolute whirlwind of a day that was smack in the middle of a nearly 13 day stretch of events.

The incredible duo @trevorholloway and @azureeholloway came and shot three recipes that I'm super excited to share when the issue comes out. In classic Elena style, I obviously threw a full Greek themed dinner party and invited a group of insanely talented women to gather around my table once again. Mad cocktail genius @ellenbo0 graciously made 2 Greek themed cocktails (including a Greek salad martini!!). I was so delighted that nearly everyone I invited was able to make it. Don't get to see too many of my friends during the summer outside of quick hellos at farmstands and such.

Special shoutout to @jowitakapusta who has been my rock this summer helping me out at so many of my dinner parties who finally got to meet the rest of this crazy crew.

Sharing family recipes is something deeply meaningful to me so it was really special to be able to put these together and take some beautiful photos of cooking processes I learned through both sides of my family. The Hamptons issue won't be out until December but I highly recommend subscribing to this beautiful quarterly magazine. It's exactly what physical cooking media should be....great recipes that have been cross tested alongside beautiful photos and really deep dives into the places the team from the magazine is exploring.
