🇬🇧 My name is April, I’m 20 years old, I’m French.
I’m a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer
This summer, I went to the US to teach a dance workshop.

🇬🇧 5 days
15 dance classes
25h of teaching
All levels, all ages
In English
In Green Bay, Winsconsin

🇬🇧 It all began thanks to two women : Angie & Patricia.
Patricia was a relative of mine who passed away in April 2025.
She always loved art and was very drawn to dance.
She was a great source of support for me in my artistic pursuits.

🇬🇧 Angie is her friend, a dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer in the United States.
Patricia always wanted to introduce me to Angie, but it never happened while she was still alive.

🇬🇧 Patricia wanted to organize a dance workshop for women who were new to dance—women who had never danced or had very little dance experience in their lives.
Together with Angie, they began planning the workshop; unfortunately, the project had to be put on hold because Patricia fell ill.

🇬🇧 Patricia passed away in April 2025.
Angie danced at her funeral.
And to honor her friend, she organized a dance workshop for women who are new to dance.
The goal was to give women who might never have danced in their lives (due to a lack of time, fear, etc.) the chance to take their first steps in a dance studio.

🇬🇧 When I first heard about this project, I didn’t know Angie yet, but I loved the idea.
So I sent her a message to let her know that I’d love to teach a jazz class at her workshop.
That’s how the adventure began… and that’s how I met Angie after Patricia passed away.

🇬🇧 March 2026, Paris, France
A first workshop combining classical dance, contemporary dance, jazz dance, and yoga with about ten women from France and the United States.
The first time I taught dance classes in English.
Wonderful encounters and wonderful energy.
The best way to pay tribute to Patricia.

🇬🇧 Angie put on a show at the end of the workshop week.
I was able to perform my piece, “Prends Garde à Toi!”
And some of the workshop participants danced on stage !

🇬🇧 Angie doesn’t stop there.
We’re heading back for the same workshop… in the United States… and she’s inviting me to come along !
