Behind the scenes of another fabulous photoshoot. Violet and Jacques did separate photos from Hawthotn (scroll to see Hawthorn!) since they are not bonded (yet?).

Proceeds from the photoshoot were donated to @rabbitadvocates and we enjoyed shopping at @aliceinbunderlandshop while the lovely and talented photographer @stephjcastillo did her thing.

All three bunnies were exceptionally well behaved, and all three seem to love being held by Stephanie… Who is apparently a true bunny magnet.

Thank you very much to Stephanie, Kimberly/Alice in Bunderland, and Rabbit Advocates for making this event happen again.

Jacques and Violet have now had every season except spring photographed during these events. But Halloween is, of course, our favorite. Perhaps Hawthorn will have to partake in a winter and summer sessions to catch up with Jacques and Violet? Little Thorny seemed to enjoy being photographed…they all did. But Stephanie really has a wonderful energy/presence that I’m sure made everything go smoothly. Please check out her Instagram @stephjcastillo and follow her because she also photographs professional sports teams (we LOVE you @timbersfc!) and countless other events!

This November, Jacques and Violet turn six which apparently makes them “senior bunnies” but Jacques said he still thinks he’s cute enough to make the annual Rabbit Advocates calendar. Dream big, buddy! We believe in you.

funny how life works sometimes:

a year before i met austen - i was sleeping in his room while house sitting & walking his mom’s dogs on a weekly.

you don't hear that everyday...

so thank you @nextdoor.

austen - the love you have for life, the extended hand you give to others, & your genuine desire to understand people - i am impressed every single day. i adore watching all of your communities love you, the way i love you.

thank you for being the reason we have odie, and for guiding me through caring for my very first dog (ironic since my job revolves around others peoples dogs).

thank you for always making my family and I feel safe.

thank you for teaching me about sports. you are the reason why I love my football team even more.

thank you for learning MY sport... (photography) & for being my forever second shooter.

thank you for consistently pushing me to accomplish my dreams, for keeping me accountable when i need it, & for supporting all the crazy side quests i put myself on.

i don't think i've ever laughed this much, life is SO incredibly fun with you. one of my fav things is how excited we both get when we decide to get sushi.
