The other day I shared a post from @stephjgilbert which elaborated on imposter syndrome and the negative self-talk spiral that often goes with it. It really resonated with me, because in the four and a half years since I opened our Airbnb, I have talked myself into and out of my business multiple times. A little known fact is that I almost closed the Decatur Alpaca Cottage a year after launching it. Crazy, huh? 🤦‍♀️

Although the self-doubt gremlins still get me from time to time, most days I'm able to look back over the years and at toward the future of where the business is going with great satisfaction. I mean really, y'all ~ I created a business out of thin air. How badass is that? 🦸‍♀️💯 Not to mention had I not persevered with my family's business, we wouldn't have been able to host the weddings, engagements, elopements, weekend cottage guests, birthday parties, Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, Baby and wedding showers, romantic getaways, mother daughter trips, and so much more! So today, I am taking a moment to celebrate the beauty, joy, and community (that's y'all!) that are an integral part of the Decatur Alpaca Cottage!
