One of the best things about acting is you get to work with great people and what a privilege it was to work amongst this fabulous peeps. There many great talents in this show, in front and behind the camera, who I think will go really far. I can’t wait to see what kind of success the future has installed for them. Besides getting a title under my belt, I learnt new things, great memories are created and new relationships are forged, some I hope will be a long ever lasting one. Due to the dense schedule and not having my phone on me for the part, I only managed to get a few shots in. Looking back at these photos, it only felt like yesterday. Without them, Blue Season wouldn’t have happened and without them, I wouldn’t got through the crazy schedule. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Team Blue Season! Big love! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

A book trailer doesn’t always need to divulge the story. For James Patterson @jamespattersonbooks, we created a series of vignette trailers that bring his true crime titles to life through atmosphere, performance, and cinematography. 🔊 Sound ON - @66north - ‘Calming The Storm’ Based on a poem written in Icelandic alliterative verse by our Director @dannemmons , “Friður” is about learning to calm the storm, to find peace within it and to prepare ourselves for the next. 1. You can do a lot with small lights. In a blackout space, you have no ambient levels to compete with. You can’t go too small though, as they need to be far enough back to not be caught in the splash, so bevcause of the inverse square law, you’ll need something with a fair amount of punch. (Aputure Storms and Novas are the best shout for back & fill, around 600W, with a 1200 for key) 2. As you have no background layer to add depth, you need to create as much texture and layers on the subject as possible. An experienced gaffer like @wsfleming_ has a whole bag of tricks, like using CRLS and foil blankets to add movement and texture to the light, really selling the storm effect. 3. A rain cover won’t keep you safe from fog. Rain rooms are unbelievably humid, and no matter how good your rain cover is, it won’t stop moisture in the air from entering the lens (resulting in a very costly repair). Limit the amount of time each lens is used, as it’s prolonged exposure that gets you. 4. They put chlorine or some kind of chemicals in the water which will stain your clothes so wash them in normal water when you get home. 5. You’ll barely be able to see what you’re shooting. The downside of a rain cover is that the rain pools on the clear window, making it very difficult to see the shot. (Consider using an operator so that you can watch with the director on their monitor). 6. Your shoes will never be the same.
