I recorded this week’s episode was because I caught myself saying the same things over and over;

How is it already September?!

How are my kids X years old?!

How is it already 2pm?!

and I say it all while watching YouTube as I cook, doing emails in the Woolies line and listening to podcasts at 2x. We’ve filled every empty minute we have and then we wonder why it’s all a blur..

So I share the the science on why time feels faster as you get older and, more importantly, I share how we can slow down time ourselves and live a more present life in a busy world.

Being a good friend is remembering birthdays… being an organised friend is having the birthday text ready to go 😂🎂

My hack is adding everyone’s birthdays to my iPhone calendar AND pre-writing their birthday messages ahead of time. Because remembering the date is one thing, remembering to actually send the text is another.

A full circle moment at Google 🤍

Thank you L’Oréalistar for inviting me to this YouTube creator session at Google! As I’ve recently started YouTube vlogging, it felt like perfect timing to learn, connect with other creators and leave feeling inspired.

It was also lovely to finally meet guest speaker Steph Pase. Her business was one of the first I collaborated with when I started creating content, so hearing her advice on creating for YouTube felt like a full circle moment.

I keep complaining about time going too fast while actively trying to make every part of my day go faster. Think about it. I can’t wait for bedtime. I can’t wait for Friday. I can’t wait for that holiday. It’s Youtube while you’re cooking, podcasts while you’re shopping, and yes, scrolling while you poop. We’re constantly rushing through our lives, but then we’re complaining about it going too fast at the same time.
