What a weekend. @illinoismarathon I had high hopes and big anxiety going into this race. And despite the butterflies, it truly couldn't have gone any better. The merch was on sale. The weather was perfect. I had the best people by my side. (and virtually blowing up my texts 💕) and I beat my PR by 19 freaking minutes. Thank you to my husband for chasing me around yet another unfamiliar city to lay eyes on me for a matter of seconds and for texting me what pace I needed to hold to meet my goal. Thats true love. 🫣🧡 And @jasmine_nicole2 I'm so freaking proud of you. This girl said she was running "on vibes" and still pulled a PR off and didn't wear all black for once. 😜 (Idk how many times I gotta tell you guys, the bright colors make you run faster.) I can't believe this crazy running journey helped me find my soul sister to link up with and influence eachother into races. This training block was so fun for me and I gained so much this time around. Sad it's over but so over the moon to be a sub 4 girly and to see what else is yet to come.
