Do as we say and not how we do 😜😂.

The best warmup is the one that prepares the body for the task at hand.

So basically do what works for you!

Athletes know how to push. But more effort isn’t always the answer.

Pain shouldn’t dictate how you train, compete, or show up for your team.

Your rehab should go beyond addressing an injury. It should prepare your body for everything your sport asks of it.

That’s performance-based physical therapy. 💪

Know an athlete who needs to hear this? Send it their way.

Pelvic health physical therapy can include treatment on the table—but it shouldn’t end there.

At R2P, we help patients progress toward the real demands of motherhood: lifting, carrying, running, training and feeling confident in their bodies again.

Because motherhood is physical—and your rehab should prepare you for it.

This is pelvic health at R2P.

A lot of companies claim patients love working with them. At R2P we have the number.

94 Net Promoter Score. NPS measures how likely someone is to recommend you to a person they care about, not just whether they were satisfied. Most healthcare organizations land well below this.

That’s the standard and the caseload you’d be walking into.

Physical therapists get injured too!

Dr. Amber decided to participate in a sport she hasn’t done in years and paid the price 😬😂.

Luckily she works with physical therapists who can get her right 😌.

Pro Tip: Make sure you expose your body to the demands of your sport/activity prior to participation especially if it has been some time.

Your pelvic floor has two jobs in pregnancy. It supports the growing weight of your baby, and in labor it has to let go. Strength matters, but so does learning to relax it. Kegels alone only train half of that equation.

You don’t need to be in pain to see a pelvic PT. Low back, hip, and pelvic girdle pain are common in pregnancy, but common doesn’t mean you have to push through it.

With your provider’s okay, staying active is good for you and baby. The goal is to adjust how you move, not stop moving.

So when should you start? For many moms, the second trimester is the sweet spot. It gives us time to plan ahead, and the strength and breathing we build during pregnancy put you ahead for postpartum.

Symptom relief matters. But it shouldn’t be the finish line.

Pelvic health physical therapy should prepare you to lift, run, handle impact and meet the demands of motherhood and everyday life.

At R2P, we connect pelvic health care with strength and performance—helping patients build toward what’s next.

This is how my patients react when I yell their name for doing an exercise incorrectly 😂😵‍💫.

The 6 week visit is important, it checks healing, incisions, and bleeding. It doesn’t test pelvic floor strength, core coordination, or whether your body is actually ready for running, lifting, or chasing a toddler.

That’s where pelvic floor PT comes in. A pelvic PT evaluates things your OB or midwife isn’t testing, pelvic floor strength and coordination, diastasis recti, breathing mechanics, and how your whole system is working together again. If you’re dealing with pain, leakage, or heaviness, that’s not something to push through, it’s a sign to get evaluated.

If you’re feeling great and just don’t know where to start, our postpartum fitness assessment is built for that. It’s a full-body evaluation of mobility, strength, and core function, so you can return to exercise and daily life with an actual plan instead of guessing.

Cleared is a starting point. What you do next is what actually rebuilds you.
