Today we mourn the loss of Commissioner Manolo Reyes @manolo4miami. He was a true public servant and supporter of Abuelos Foundation. Helping the elderly was his passion. May he rest in eternal peace.

Our first food rescue from Miami Marlins at @loandepotpark was a HOMERUN !#playball ⚾️⚾️🧢

Trays of chef prepared food from Premium Suites that instead of going into the garbage and decomposing in landfills was packed safely by @levy.restaurants chef team and picked up by our volunteers @anaponceee and @giancarlodamotta and direct delivered to the Miami Rescue Mission, who provides safe shelter, food and support for the residents going through recovery and a hot meal every day for the houseless living on the street.

These rescues are among our favorites as we know how valuable healthy food and nutrition is to the population the Mission serves. #foodasmedicine helps to nourish both the body and the mind.

Thank you Chef Alex! You ARE THE RESCUE! See you Sunday!

Two amazing food donors:
Fresh fruit from @wholefoods Miami Beach AND a a huge haul from @TraderJoes Midtown Miami.

Both headed to @allsoulsmiamibeach @allsoulsepiscopalonthebeach on Miami Beach.

Every Sunday, we support our local neighbors on Miami Beach with these deliveries and free Food Distribution and Community Meal at All Souls Church.

Thank you to our volunteer food rescuers Adam and Manny, and the Church volunteers who set up and distribute with respect and dignity. 🫶🫶.

Keeping food OUT of landfills helps mitigate climate change! 🌎

Proud to help our communities and our environment.

Oh what a beautiful sight! It took FOUR full SUVs to rescue all of this fresh amazing food donated from Trader Joe’s! 🏆👏👏

And this is a daily occurrence for our amazing volunteer food rescue ninjas.🥷
This fresh food was delivered immediately to local food pantries to guarantee that their recipients are getting the freshest and most nutritious food.
We never store or warehouse food we rescue but our direct delivery model is like the “Uber of Food Rescue”.

Thank you to the over 200 food donors who provide for the over 85 social service agencies who feed the food insecure.
Our rescues are what keeps their doors open for the community.

3 years ago. The unthinkable happened. In the middle of the night, while people were sleeping, the pool deck of the aging Champlain Towers South condominium in Surfside gave way setting in motion a horrific collapse of half the complex killing 98 men, women and children.

There was an amazing outpouring of food and supplies from Miami Dade county, local organizations and neighbors who provided for the first responders, fire and rescue and EMT workers who worked round the clock to find, rescue and recover those buried in the rubble.

We were there too. We immediately took on the task of providing fresh, chef prepared meals to the grieving families and survivors who were in hotels awaiting news of missing loved ones. 💔💔

Over a dozen chefs and restaurants prepared and in many cases personally delivered individual meals that we distributed to the families.

Food is love. Food is comfort. It was our small way to provide a meal prepared with love in this time of tragedy.

Thank you again to the chefs and restaurants who stepped up to provide compassion and love.

We remember. We grieve for those lost and their families. We honor those first responders. We are proud we could offer a small token of compassion.

It was an honor traveling to the State Capitol for Rally in Tally and SGA Lobby Day with @fiusga to advocate for FIU’s priorities directly to our state lawmakers. Thank you @dadedelegation for all the hard work you do for us Panthers!

The @MiamiYRs walk the walk, and don’t just talk the talk. Doors win wars! And we’re doing our part, year-round, to make sure Republicans are elected! Yesterday we were out and about door-knocking to help re-elect Manolo Reyes for City of Miami Commissioner District 4. @Manolo4Miami #MiamiYRs
