Started my day with the LUCHA Coalition celebrating the $30 million investment in Latino serving organizations. Special thanks to @amanda_bx84 for leading the charge & @karinesreyes87 for the support. Ended the day celebrating the work of the @riversideparknyc. It was a perfect night at the park and I am I am proud to serve on the board 💚

Today was a powerful moment. I stood alongside incredible leaders from across New York as we came together to announce a historic investment in our Latino communities. Being part of the LUCHA coalition fills me with so much pride and hope.

We all showed up from every part of the state to make sure our communities are seen, heard, and not left behind. Thank you Assemblywoman @amandaseptimo & Assemblywoman @karinesreyes87 for your efforts and all electeds that help push this ✊🏽.

Mabuhay! I had the honor of attending the 35th Annual Philippine Independence Day Parade in New York hosted by PIDCI, celebrating 127 years of Philippine independence. 🇵🇭

Grateful to celebrate our heritage and community—here’s a brief recap of the day’s festivities.

What an honor to serve as Grand Marshal at the Queens Pride Parade — right here in the World’s Borough, where our LGBTQ communities have always led with courage, culture, and defiant joy. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I was proud to march alongside my sister in service, Assembly Member @CatalinaCruzNY, and in honor of Andry José Hernández Romero, who has been unjustly detained and deported — and is now being held in a mega-prison in El Salvador after fleeing anti-LGBTQ violence and persecution in Venezuela.

We used this moment not just to celebrate — but to speak out. Pride is protest, and our joy is an act of resistance. We demand Andry’s immediate release, and we fight for the safety and liberation of all LGBTQ+ immigrants facing violence, detention, and deportation.

To our queer and trans communities — especially those navigating immigration, displacement, and injustice — we see you, we honor you, and we won’t stop fighting for you.

Despite the cold weather, our members from across the state made themselves present to engage and gain support for the investment in legal services and the passage of the #AccesstoRepresentation Act from their elected representatives.
