On April 19th, 2026, the @15to10filmfestival produced “The Time of Monsters,” a theatrical presentation of three original one-act plays created by festival founders Sara Sabbagh (@cosmickidnapping) and Calyx Passailaigue (@calyxfilms_).

We worked with an incredible team of performers and theatre-makers (all tagged in this post) to bring these shows to life, and are so thankful for their time, energy and talent. Special thanks to our stage manager @em.matchette, lighting designer @_daniellemcarey and @sweetactiontheatre for hosting the event. Also shoutouts to our intimacy coordinator @willowdemare and wardrobe sponsor @shelli_oh.

The first play, You-Boat, was written & directed by @cosmickidnapping and based on a video by Luke Humphris (@lukehumphris). Luke's video "Sinking" was awarded "Best Canadian Short" at last year's @15to10filmfestival. Their prize was having a theatre piece inspired by their video produced for the stage!

Carpe Noctem, written & directed by @calyxfilms_, is a comedy-horror featuring cannibals, vampires and Calypso music! Recently, the screenplay adaptation was selected for @outactrato's Working the Scene in Rainbow showcase.

Mustard Men, also written & directed by @calyxfilms_, is an absurdist comedy that follows three WWI soldiers stranded in “No Man’s Land,” the bomb-scarred territory
between two armies.

Please enjoy these images of the shows and backstage snapshots captured by our team!
