Dear Donovan,

How do you say goodbye to a place that, after nine years, stopped feeling like just a place?

You have been my home, my school, my stage, and one of the most important chapters of my life.

Inside your walls, I grew up. I made mistakes, I learned, I laughed, I struggled, I celebrated. I met incredible people, welcomed guests from all over the world, and shared countless nights with people who, in one way or another, became part of my story.

To everyone who has walked through those doors and worked alongside me over these nine years: thank you. Every single one of you left something behind, and I will carry a piece of those memories with me wherever I go next.

And then there is @cocktailmaestro

There will never be enough words to thank you for what you have done for me. You believed in me, challenged me, protected me, taught me and gave me opportunities that changed my life. You have been much more than a mentor. You have been family.

A huge part of the person and professional I am today exists because of you, and that is something I will carry with me forever.

Donovan, I always thought that if one day I left you, it would also mean that my time in London had come to an end.

And somehow, that day has arrived.

October 2nd will be my last shift behind your bar.

Thank you for everything, Donovan.

You will always be part of who I am.

As for what comes next…

Today marks 8 years at The Donovan Bar, and what a journey it has been.

I’ve grown, I’ve learned, I’ve met incredible people, my special person, and made friendships that I know will last forever. Along the way, I’ve also been lucky enough to experience some of the best moments of my life, both in London and while travelling.

But, like all the best things, there eventually comes an end. And so, an amazing chapter of my life is coming to a close.

The 29th will be my last day at The Donovan Bar, and I want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey, especially those who made it so special.

Thank you ❤️

Thank you, Maestro!

You created such an amazing bar and allowed us to call it home, to become a family and to believe in dreaming big. You have been a huge inspiration to me, and I will always be grateful for all the opportunities you have given me, including the privilege of being part of your life.

Federico,
(no assistants were forced to make this post) 😂

You are probably the person who has challenged me the most, from day one. You never gave up on me, and you helped me become the person I am today, not only professionally.
You allowed me to stand by your side during some incredible moments, trips and adventures. You are someone I started seeing as a mentor, and I’m walking out of this place being able to call you a friend.

You have been part of my life for the past eight years. We’ve watched each other grow and change, faced the good and the bad, and always supported each other along the way.

Thank you for everything.

Chiara, you also challenged me from day one… starting saying “ciao” and me “hi” 🤣

We started as colleagues, facing both good and difficult moments, but somehow we always managed to face them together and come out stronger than before. Then, somewhere along the way, we became friends.

We even lived together, and I can confidently say you make the best breakfasts ever, and the coffee isn’t bad either. 😂

Today, you are one of my most precious friends. You’re always worrying about me, looking after me and being there whenever I need you. You are one of the most spontaneous, generous and caring people I know, and obviously one
