We invite you to experience a new kind of market with a focus on reuse, creativity and learning new skills.

There’ll be loads of hands-on workshops to get involved in, from jewellery making and crochet to upcycling and repair, so it’s a great one to bring the kids along to and to inspire them to rethink how they consume.

Come and have a browse, make something, learn something new and meet some lovely local creatives.

Sharing resources is essential to building community and expanding access. I recommend including resource lists in classes or workshops — and I included one in the appendix of my research paper. I am sharing that here for this community. There is a link to the doc in my bio ⬆️

If you are interested in creative repair and reuse, this document has links to websites with educational resources, video tutorials, and downloads; artist inspiration; projects and articles; and material resources.

If you have any suggestions for additions to the doc, please share in the comments! //

Studio Wrap Up // MARCH

1️⃣ Maya has been perfecting her patterns and slowly converting them to PDF form so others can use them too!

2️⃣ Josh's contract at @bsu__schoolofdesign continues to be extended. Students May deadlines are quickly approaching and so printing is ramping up in the 3d lab.

3️⃣ Josh has had his favorite work jacket mended by @stitch_school , many rips, tears and frayed cuffs restored after years of working.

4️⃣ Maya has finished a pair of socks by @camillejulieromano . Tricky around the heels but came out great!

5️⃣ Furniture work continues. This base section has been stained with a rustic wood dye.

6️⃣ Maya made these granny squares 3 years ago. She's finally brought them out of hiding to make a granny square top tutorial.

7️⃣ Josh has been working with students to rapidly scratch build dioramas using failed 3d printing scraps.

8️⃣ Kitchens are the bread and butter for @valchromatic_ , here we have a growing number of cabinets in high quality birch ply.

9️⃣ Maya has been making her own shoelaces from scrap yarn using the Icord.

1️⃣0️⃣ Maya could not find a deck graphic she liked for her first skateboard so in true whatever Studio fashion has designed her own using acrylic pens on a blank deck.
