Georgia. Light leak. I think this is from my first trip to Austin.

Ok why can I only add five hashtags? Does IG really not want to show people photos?

@stitchedinsound is here this week and her visit overlaps with a real post chemo slump. My blood pressure took a dive and I’m grateful to the North Haven Medical Clinic for running some saline and getting me back on my feet. Having Georgia here has been exactly what I needed for the rest of me. Love you Red ❤️

Hi it’s me, your author friend! I am starting to work on a book event in Boston with @ritualpelvichealth and am wondering if any of my friends in that area have connections at Brookline Booksmith or Porter Square Books so I can make this unhinged face at you in person?? @kathy833 @msparenthetical @levitylevitywellwell @stitchedinsound @peculiaryetreal @picturesofchrissy @jknotjk @drbbayruthie @gretchenmarg

I needed a little space to feel my book release feelings and luckily @stitchedinsound invited me down to her part of the world to follow her spooky beautiful band @handsybandsy around for the weekend! Last night I got to be in a room full of people I’ve known and seen or played music with from 20 years ago and it felt real good. Tonight’s show at the Midway ought to be even more of a time warp! Very fun to see her sing and shred. 🤘🎸💚

Meet Georgia Young! Georgia is a second-semester MESM student specializing in Environmental Communication, currently pursuing her second master’s degree. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College. Beyond her academic pursuits, Georgia is passionate about music and crafting.

Currently, Georgia serves as the Rhode Island Sea Grant Communications Fellow. She actively participates in long-term public engagement initiatives focused on shoreline access across Rhode Island. Her responsibilities include contributing to the writing and layout of the MyCoastRI shoreline impact photography newsletters, facilitating connections between MyCoast volunteers and local planners to enhance coastal resilience efforts in the Ocean State. Additionally, Georgia plays a role in editing Sea Grant’s Ocean and Coastal Magazine, 41°N, and further promotes its content through curated social media posts for RI Sea Grant.

As Georgia finishes her first year in the MESM program, she notes that she has found the “support, positive reinforcement, and constructive critique ... from the faculty [to be] life-changing.” She highlights the encouraging environment within MESM, where everyone is committed to student success.

Georgia advises incoming MESM students to give the EVS 501 and EVS 502 seminars their full attention. Georgia has found these courses to be crucial in guiding her MESM success while providing her with lots of advice from faculty, students, and alumni.
