Can they do it on a cold, rainy night in Stoke?

Or a very chilly evening in Glasgow!

@jazminsawyers did when she won the Commonwealth games gold medal in the women’s long jump. It was so nice to catch up with her family my fellow Stokies during the qualifying rounds.

Also shout out to all the PE Teachers (all teachers) you may not realise it at the time but you’re having such an impact!!!

Another season done and dusted, with a few more PBs added to the collection! 🏃‍♂️💨
Huge thanks to the one and only Stu Fisher @endurancepeak for helping make it happen. 🙌
The year started early with a decent 5-mile PB at Alsager 5, clocking 29:34,followed by a 10K PB at Trafford - 36:06.
Next up was the Sprint Duathlon British Champs in March, where I managed a course PB and, more importantly, secured a qualifying spot for the 2027 World Champs. 🇬🇧🌍
July brought the European Duathlon Champs in Banyoles 🇪🇸. Racing in 35° 🌞, I managed a top-10 Age Group finish, which I was really pleased with given some of the challenges in the weeks leading up to the event.
August saw a return to Darley Moor Sprint Duathlon and another course PB 👌. It was probably my best sprint performance to date and resulted in a Qualifying spot for the 2027 European Champs. 💥
And to finish the summer, a run out at the Mid Cheshire 5K which produced another PB — 17:25! 🔥
Now it’s time for a winter of strength training, cross country and maybe a couple more road races, building a solid base for what should be a fun-filled 2027. 😃
None of the above happens without the incredible support around me.
A massive thank you to my clubs @congletoncyclingclub and @stokeac , my sponsors and the team at @paurunandridetrentham , and those who believe in me — sometimes more than I believe in myself. You know who you are. ❤️
And, of course, the biggest thanks goes to my coach, the legend @stuart_triathlon . A coach who somehow knows my PBs better than I do (funny story… IYKYK 😂), but more importantly, always manages to find the positives when things don’t go according to plan.
Thank you! 😃🙏
Roll on 2027… 💥🏃‍♂️🚴‍♂️. @cheshirecyclingsnaps @jackie_roach_photography @lwsportstherapyrehab @ebleisure @age_group_news
