I started my #sustainability journey back in 2018 by foraying into the world of #SustainableFashion. But over time, I discovered that my heart truly belonged to #ConsciousTravel. So this April, when I became a small part of an inspiring story on conscious travel in @travelandleisureindia, it felt incredibly special. It honestly felt like a full-circle moment, a reminder that the part of me that left behind a corporate career to pursue meaningful work in this space was absolutely on the right path.

What made it even more exciting was connecting with fellow green travellers and realizing that sustainable travel (I prefer the word ‘conscious travel’ because ‘sustainable’ has been overused and greenwashed) is more than just a niche. It’s a growing, passionate community of people genuinely committed to changing how we explore the world.

Because I loved the story so much, and especially the practical, accessible action points shared by each traveller, I wanted to create a little TL;DR for anyone who still believes conscious travel is only about spending more or staying at luxury eco-resorts.

Spoiler: it’s not.
