Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the third annual Pittsburgh Jewish Zine Festival at @mr_roboto_project! We saw our biggest turnout yet and had an absolute blast sharing pickles, art, learning, & DJ Meddyglyn’s ambiance with yinz.

This year, we raised $917 at our merch table to donate to @gazasoupkitchen, over TRIPLE last year’s total. We are so incredibly proud of our steadily growing community and the impact we can make together.

Watch this space; copies of our collaborative zine Atzmeinu (Our Bones) will be going up for online sale very soon.

This years' shirts are HOT! Check out the hand lettered English, Yiddish and Ladino design courtesy of @beislakish and @elijahjbay. We have a variety of sizes and colors, screen printed and heat set by yours truly! Come get them at our official merch table and help us raise money for mutual aid in Palestine! We've made less than last year, so be sure and visit while the zines are hot and the pickles are still cold...

The Pittsburgh Zine Fest is Sunday, August 30th, from 1pm-5pm at The Mr Roboto Project.

A huge thanks to Dade Lemanski and @gdframbuaz for their Yiddish and Ladino skills, respectively. Getting to display Jewish Zine Fest in two different Jewish diasporic languages is really meaningful to us!!! And thanks to @that.maddie for teaching us screenprinting and troubleshooting so many transparencies!!!

We're excited to share the flyer for The Pittsburgh Jewish Zine Fest 5786, coming back to Mr. Roboto on Sunday, August 30th from 1pm-5pm! Join us for an afternoon of radical zines, Jewish ritual objects, local art, mutual aid, and harm reduction supplies, furthering our commitments to solidarity and liberation during the Jewish month of Elul. All the profits from our official merch table are going towards @gazasoupkitchen , supporting food access in Gaza amidst the ruins of the so-called "ceasefire".
Why 5786? In the Jewish calendar we are in the year 5786 Year of Creation. As radical, queer and Antizionist Jews for Liberation, we find it important to center sacred time over that Capitalist time that rules our bodies.
OUR CREW IS AWESOME! We have a whole bunch of amazing folks participating in our fest:

We're excited to have ambience provided by DJ Meddyglyn @motherstellarhagstone during the show, as well as some more surprises we’ll be announcing soon. Follow for updates on our vendors, our programming and more.
This will be a mask-required event. Please test for COVID-19 and stay home if you are feeling unwell. We will have masks and tests freely available for use at the front door. To deal with issues of heat and air flow we’ll have the back door open to a mask-optional area, with shade, food and water. Free pickles are returning this year: tell all your friends they can get their briny fix, for FREE, just for pulling up!

Bad news: Huntington show was cancelled. Apologies to everyone who was planning on coming.
Good news is, we hopped on this mixed bill show in Beckley and its free. It ain't that far from Huntington crew either.

our weekender starts in less than two weeks, and we're closing it with our EP release show which will also double as a very important benefit.

Speaking of said benefit: We'll have tattooing now by @maisie.mae.tattoo and May Day Marching Band to close the night. A few of y'all said you loved the energy switch up after an all hc show, so we're doing just that again. Hard moshing all evening, throwing ass after to shake out intensity.

new track been out and y'all been loving it, like we said you would.

Full record drops on July 1st. Don't forget you can pre-order it online. Link in bio.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us for Ratzon’s Hanukkah party and fundraiser! We noshed, we moshed, and we harnessed the power of mutual aid.

All together, we raised $919 for Inas and her family, who are struggling to make ends meet in Gaza.

We owe immense gratitude to everyone who helped out, in big and small ways:
▪️The Ratzon pals who organized, facilitated, decorated, and assisted with cleanup (a huge endeavor)
▪️the @ifcenter for hosting us
▪️ @beislakish for the beautiful reading(s)
▪️Our friends from @karavansarai_chai for sharing delicious chai and books for the fundraiser
▪️The patient individuals who volunteered at the donation table
▪️Birdie for carving out a quiet space to do tarot readings amidst the party chaos
▪️Rachel for donating tea blends to the fundraiser
▪️Olivia for donating beautiful Judaica for the fundraiser
▪️Castro for making vegan, gluten-free matzo ball soup (a true triumph)
▪️The incredible musicians who performed an original pop-punk song about Judith beheading Holofernes
▪️Anyone else we may be missing!
