"We Pretended It Wasn't Green" is an installation featuring a live generative animation showcasing a frog and enchanting mushrooms intricately woven into a constantly changing narrative influenced by real-time earth data from satellites spinning above us.

As climate change continues to affect our planet, "We Pretended It Wasn't Green" reflects our collective denial and apathy towards the environmental crisis. The project highlights a disorienting contrast: a world where the vibrant green hues of nature are distorted and manipulated,
representing our tendency to ignore the consequences of our actions. Within this distorted reality,
the mushrooms become silent witnesses, existing on the brink of vulnerability yet potentially
outliving us all.

In this disorienting world, where evidence does not seem to carry much weight, we cannot ignore the green. Do not ignore the amphibian.

The Magicians Organise Themselves is a digital exhibition with an in-person opening that took place on 11th December at the project space in Newbridge @newbridgeproject .The exhibition showcases works created by the Collective Studio on the same day as the opening, prompted by Esoteric Orders, a performative and participatory workshop.

The Esoteric Orders were announced to the Collective Studioers via livestream by AI Cat, a wizardly creature living in the Astral Realm. Every hour, esoteric prompts explored the themes of magic, numerology, contemporary witchcraft and occultism. The newly-formed temporary collectives made works in response supported by the very helpful AI Rat. The Researcher documented the works in 3D and uploaded them to the Astral Realm.

Unbeknown to the Collective Studioers, they were invited to visit the Astral Real to attend their own exhibition preview.
