Huge thanks to Jimmy Chamberlin for always looking out for us and taking the time to say hello. The Band Royale is eternally grateful that we get to call our favorite band our friends.

We’ve seen The Smashing Pumpkins more times than we can count, but last night at the United Center might have been the best we’ve ever seen them. Absolutely unreal.

Much love and respect, always. 🤘

Once upon a time, I used to watch a ton of Chicago Music Exchange bass demos. Marc Najjar @strangernajjar was always laying down some killer lines, and for some reason, I remember him playing this one. Was it The Police? Something else entirely? Who knows. 😂 Either way, it stuck with me.

@puleoguitars P Bass. @origineffects Cali76 and Super Vintage.

And a little encouragement for my fellow bass players: don’t be afraid to explore the melodic side of the instrument. Put down the backing tracks, play some chords and harmonics, and see where it takes you. It’s amazing how beautiful a bass can sound all by itself.
