We have to be realistic here. None of us can support our lives by only playing music. When we go off the stage, we have to return to our “basic” jobs to pay for rent, food and to support our familles.
To all the artists that try to do it all right and fail because it is simply too much to handle at once: Take it easy and take a break. You are not a machine, you are human! Be passionate about your art and don’t just see it as work. Too much pressure and you loose the fun!

I’ve been tracking the evolution of Munich-based Stray Ends @strayends lately, and it’s a masterclass in how to shift an artistic identity without losing your core.

They started by making their mark with a heavy, metallic sound, tracks like Weighty Wings and Breath had that raw, aggressive punch that you don't find everywhere. But their latest single, Different Shades, New Lanes, shows them taking a deliberate pivot. They’re stripping back some of those heavy breakdowns to lean into lush, melancholic shoegaze textures.

It’s refreshing to see a band have the confidence to evolve their "DNA" like this. Instead of staying in the lane that made them popular, they’re choosing to explore deeper, more introspective soundscapes.

If you like the sound of Deftones or Soul Blind, you need to hear where Stray Ends is heading right now. It’s heavy, but it’s a different kind of heavy, the kind that sits with you.

Check out Different Shades, New Lanes and let me know: do you prefer the heavy, metallic side of them, or are you digging this new, shoegaze-heavy direction? Let’s talk in the replies. 🎧✨

HAPPY RELEASEDAY @strayends 🔥
