U:LTRA EQUIPMENTS PODCAST EP/// 009 W/ @masonnite of @strides_trailpod NOW LIVE

In this episode, I sit down with local trail runner and podcaster Mason Hickok to talk about the trail running scene in San Antonio, the stories and conversations behind his podcast Strides, and the gear that helps him spend more time on the trails. We also get into the mindset side of endurance sports—why progress comes from repetition, the value of showing up consistently, and how learning to care less about what other people think can open the door to growth. A thoughtful conversation on running, creativity, and the mindsets that keep us moving forward.

24.3 miles - 2,800’. Doubled Eisenhower, to and from Blanco Powerlines, doubled Yucca trail, hit the secret back trail, 5 hill repeats on Big Mama. Time for a @garmin.

Also had time to run this week, ending with a 50 piece.

✨The new ‘In The Loop Run Crew’ Tattoo Flash Sheet has landed! All the grit, none of the regret (unless you put it crooked).

Forget the needles, but keep the rebellious spirit. We’ve got designs that practically scream ‘I’m a runner, and I might be slightly unhinged’:

“Long Runs & Lattes” – For the true connoisseurs of agony and espresso.

“PR or ER” – Because sometimes, you just gotta send it. (Disclaimer: run safe always!)

“Embrace The Journey” – Yeah, even the part where you question all your life choices at mile 15.

“Running Is For Everyone (Y’all Means All Pride 5K Race)” – Because badassery knows no bounds, and neither does our crew

“Never Miss A Monday” – Your weekly dose of self-inflicted discipline.

And our classic “In The Loop Run Crew” Shield – Slap this on, and everyone will know you’re part of the coolest damn running cult in town.

These are high-quality, durable bad boys ready to permanently (ish) adorn your water bottles, laptops, car bumpers, or that one friend who keeps falling behind.

So, stop scrolling, and start sticking. Get your “In The Loop” flash sheet before they’re gone faster than your last mile pace!

👀Snag yours at Intheloopruncrew.com or an upcoming group run.

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly grateful to @altrarunning for their phenomenal support as our premier race sponsor! Their generous grant made it possible for us to host our largest “Y’all Means All Pride Race” ever, and we’re so proud to announce that we were able to donate a record-breaking $10,089 to a local LGBTQ+ non-profit @alamoarearesourcecenter here in San Antonio!

Altra Running’s commitment went above and beyond just financial assistance for race expenses. They custom-made incredible race hats for all our runners and even outfitted our dedicated crew with their latest running shoes.

Your partnership truly means the world to us. Thank you, Altra Running, for believing in our mission that running is for everyone and for helping us make such a significant difference in our community. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you all for showing up year after year for this race, see you at the 2026 start line!
