Okay we’re live, the website is UP! You can find our first Vol. 1 pieces available there, just a few finger tip-taps away!

The collection includes our limited edition Burnt Totes, available for purchase directly on the site. Use code launch20 on your first order at burnttotes.com 🔗 (link in bio, but of course!)

Pictured here is one of our pieces that folks are eating up: BEC, BT-003

Anotha idea that was not remotely on today’s bingo card.
Before deciding to document the ~process~, I first compiled footage of me painting large scale paintings, and screenshotted them, then I cut out the dimly lit figures from the screenshot….so that would’ve been in the prequel, idk maybe you missed it.

Realizing my site lacked direction as it’s been a playground/stomping ground/experimental space. Instead of starting more intentionally on a client-facing site, I said, hey what about incorporating a switch to turn this playground into a business dancefloor. And hey, why not make this site switch out of gems? And why don’t I animate it with coding language? How bout that? We can sort out what’s on the other end of the site, once you flip the switch, later.

Just when I thought I couldn’t pick out an even smaller detail of my site to work on…I decide to work on the most ephemeral part…the loading animation. That was such a classic move on my part. Still have a few hiccups to resolve but we are having fun!

I made these things today and then I made this video. But I did NOT make my resume or my portfolio or respond to that email or water the plant or shower. Going to shower now.

Working on my User Case Studies for my portfolio….clearly. And absolutely prioritizing effectively! So happy to be creating again and letting myself create and learn whatever it is I’m drawn to that day. Today, a gem pendant animation for my nonexistent website’s Contact page

This will be a waste of your time. Prepping for another painting that I will probably wait another 8 months to work on. Skip ahead to 15 seconds and just smile over how beautiful the sun casts window shadows onto the canvas.

First time painting a real painting in 6 years (real painting and painting reel), I’m re-remembering how. I’m not done, but if I don’t do something with this footage now, it will forever exist only in my iPhone archive.

Been trying to use this extra time to stay inspired + push my past work in new directions. Here’s some photos I took of my beautiful friend, Farah, last summer. She’s the coolest person I know.

My friend @farahrose is one of the raddest people I know. Since we met 6 years ago, I’ve watched her become the most magnificent, insightful, + artistic person. Her art (@strokesbeforefolks) is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I swear, one day you’ll walk through a museum and recognize a Farah Serur by the color + composition within seconds. The other day, Fah invited me into her studio to photograph her in her element. I’m so lucky to have friends like this gal who inspire me everyday to keep pushing the boundaries of my creativity (scroll to the end of the post for a tbt to our first ever photoshoot together in 2013 - yes that pose was not a joke) 🎨

Finishederrrrrrupppp. Finally went back into these well deserving beautiful creatures and finished sculpting out sumballlz. First and final piece that will include an eccentric ballpit. Not the final piece of funky eccentric friends in Nola, thanks @margotpalandjian and @tenthmountaindivision for letting me capture this candid moment through photo and paint.
