Katniss Everdeen: What Makes a Real Leader? | Mockingjay

🏹 What makes Katniss Everdeen a believable leader in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1?

It's not simply that she agrees to become the Mockingjay. It's what she experiences along the way.

Katniss sees the destruction caused by President Snow and the Capitol firsthand. She meets the people affected by the conflict, witnesses their suffering, and makes her own decisions about the rebellion.

🔥 In this Nerdy Note, I'm looking at how those storytelling choices make Katniss a more convincing leader.

There's a difference between being told to lead and actually understanding the people you're leading.

💬 Would Katniss have been as believable if she had just followed orders?

When you take a quick trip to Milan and the Dolomites, and realize that the opening song to your favorite Broadway musical (and your most recent Broadway investment) is only an 90 minute drive away, you obviously have no choice but to rent a car, drive there, and do this. #chessthemusical
