A book written on maternity leave, launched twelve months postpartum. No hired team/staff. No childcare. No village. On Saturday, a sold-out room of people gathered to celebrate a body of work I built with a newborn on my chest and a toddler on my lap. People of different ages, backgrounds, sectors. A small army of friends, volunteers and personal champions came together to set up the venue in record setting time. @rhiannonrosalind , who led the Economic Club of Canada for over a decade, flew in from Toronto to host and conduct the live interview. Dr. Rustum Southwell, Chancellor of Dalhousie University @dalhousieu and founder of the @bbi_atlantic Black Business Initiative, opened the evening. The incredible @callmeosound blessed us with his voice. @ambiensound curated the audio to perfection. An experience I’ll never forget. The beginning of a new chapter. I thank God for each and every person who has invested in this work. Thank you will never suffice. I am so grateful 🤍

A few frames from a pretty cool one. 🇺🇸🏒 Earlier this year we headed to Lake Placid with @cwenchhydration to help bring their Miracle On Ice launch to life alongside @swaggyp_63 and @thenasher61 One of the things we love most about working with CWENCH is the people. Every project puts us around talented athletes, creators, and great humans who genuinely make the work fun. Huge credit to @anthony.mila , who led the entire launch from start to finish, and Lea Torcetti, who was instrumental in helping direct and bring the vision together on set. @strykeforse took the lead on directing and capturing many of the key visuals during our production days, while @kylepatrickmacdonald and @strowbie focused on photo, b-roll, and drone coverage. @justlaxmedia was behind the scenes documenting the entire experience and making sure none of the moments between the moments were missed. The best projects are usually the ones where everyone knows their role, trusts each other, and works toward the same vision.
