🩺✨ August is National Wellness Month ✨🩺

We believe that art heals. Across hospitals and health spaces, art transforms clinical spaces into places of calm, colour, and hope, supporting patients, visitors, and staff every day.

This month, we’re celebrating the power of creativity in caring environments—and the artists whose work brings comfort and connection when it’s needed most.

🖼️💛 Art doesn’t just live in galleries; it lives where people need it.

Part two of MAKE Southwest

More amazing makes from the Christmas themed exhibition.

From Bovey we travelled back down the A38 to Ashburton and visited @thecraftmongers ...a lovely conclusion to a great day.

On Thursday this week I had the pleasure of being asked to go to one of my work colleagues exhibition preview in Bristol 🎨 It was a beautiful collection of paintings, some landscapes (my personal favourite) and some more abstract pieces 🤩 The exhibition is continuing now until the 19th of October, if your around the Bristol area I highly recommend going to have a look 😁🏞️ I am determined that wherever I end up location wise, that I continue to form networks and support other local artists in their creative endeavours 🥰 #art #exhibition #bristol

As we’re well into spring and the birds are out keeping busy (waking me up!) I thought I’d post a panel I designed and made a while back, called ‘Searching for Food’.

It was made for a small exhibition I put on in my studio called ‘One Square Foot’ with the wonderful @stuart_low and @theroundwindow a few years ago now.

We’ve recently been conserving the figure of William Vertue from the vast west window of St George’s Chapel, Windsor. This special panel, set amongst 74 figures of Popes, Kings, Princes and Saints, represents the Master Mason responsible for much of the construction of the chapel - special recognition indeed for the craftsman!

Much of the glass dates from the early 16thC, and was the work of Barnard Flower, King’s Glazier to Henry VII & Henry VIII.

It’s nice to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel... We’re looking forward to reopening our doors to our lovely customers next month and in anticipation we’ve had some deliveries of new work from our members. How beautiful is this porcelain made by Sasha Wardell? Stained glass in the window by Stuart Low. We love when the light shines through on a sunny day here in Bovey 🌞
