It's sticky leggings season! ❄️

Loads of people asked for sticky legging recommendations from my story last night and I cannot recommend Paradise Chick leggings enough. They've lasted me 5 winters with no issues! Top quality product! Never had any issues with them at all!

Let's talk about self-doubt.
°°°

We all do it (including myself)-
"No way I can do that", "not a chance" or "I'm not strong enough."
We often say these things to ourselves which trap us in a cycle of doubt and frustration. Instead of letting those doubts define us, we need to ask ourselves the following:

"What makes that move work?"-
Understanding how a move works instead of just throwing yourself around in the hoop is the most important step. I'm so fed up of seeing videos that say "TUTORIAL" and its just a silent breakdown of the move... Babe, that’s not a tutorial, and it doesn’t really help anyone understand the cues to success - or more importantly, what can cause a move to fail.

"What skills have I done that are similar?"-
Breaking down a move into familiar motions you’ve done before acts like a safety net for your brain. Instead of feeling defeated, your muscles can follow the muscle memory from the foundational skills you’ve already built. Having a teacher who builds on skills rather than throwing you new shapes every class is important. Sometimes as students (and teachers)our ego gets in the way as we just want to learn new shiny things. But understanding that many moves can be achieved through various pathways makes the process so much easier over time.

"What are the movements I need to do to build up to get that skill?"-
When you’ve dissected a move and tried different approaches without quite getting it, that doesn’t mean you’re defeated! Believe it or not, conditioning drills aren’t just your teacher bring mean... and you do not need a hoop to do them! Ask your instructor for a drill to support your journey and work at it more than once!

Yes, aerial can be tough, but approaching it with curiosity rather than frustration and doubt makes the journey much more enjoyable and rewarding.
