How serendipitous to be back at this old church just in time for release day. It was just about 9 months ago that we all huddled up under the spell of a brutal polar vortex and recorded “Hello, I’m Irrelevant” here in Quyon, QC. With the guidance of our trusty producer, Michael (@hilotrons), the warm hospitality and chutzpah of our dear friend Erin (@strawberrykiller), and the pure joy of the pup, Rosie, we took a batch of barely formed songs and turned them into our very own Rock Opera. Kacy’s songwriting never ceases to amaze me. She has an unbelievable ability to bridge the worlds of contemporary and traditional music. In that regard, this album may be her most poignant yet, taking direct aim at the current state of artistry and its collision with a world that seems to resist its nature more and more every day.

I couldn’t be more proud to have worked on this record with Kacy & Mike. And I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. Out today on @earthlibraries!
