Huge thanks to @deenaelrayan for this spicy opportunity ❣️💋

(No chilies were wasted in the process.. they ended up as harissa and sweet chill sauce 👄)

REFLECTION By: @afarah.world . Looking at Rina’s body of work as a whole, you can feel how personal and intentional everything is. Her art doesn’t follow trends or formulas, it follows instinct, memory, and emotion. The colors feel raw and alive, the forms are fluid and shifting, and the figures move between abstraction and identity, as if they’re constantly becoming something new. There’s a softness in her work, but also courage. Nothing feels decorative for the sake of beauty; everything feels honest. Her paintings hold tension between vulnerability and strength, chaos and calm, intimacy and distance, and that balance is what makes them powerful.

Personally, I consider her one of the dearest people in my life. Every time I see her, even if it’s after a year or more, it always feels like we were never distant. She’s also one of the most interesting minds I’ve ever known. She stands for very distinctive things: emotional depth, freedom of expression, authenticity, and the courage to be different without needing to explain herself. That integrity is clearly reflected in her art. You don’t just see a style, you feel a presence, a voice, a worldview.

Swipe to the next image 🤍 It’s a photo of both of us at one of her first exhibitions (8 years ago), an exhibition I’m proud to have taken part in organizing. The space was filled with her friends and family from all age groups, and the energy was warm, real, and full of love. It wasn’t just an exhibition, it felt like a community gathering around her vision, her journey, and her soul. #art #egyptianart
