📚🌍 Four more Planet-Friendly Book Packages have made their way to schools! 🚗💚

A little glimpse into the boot of my car before these four packages headed off to their new homes. 📦📚

And behind every box is a business choosing to make a positive difference:

🌱 @clearfuturefp — sponsoring Easington Primary School

📚 @talkingtables_tt — sponsoring
@larkhalleyfs

🌍 @rxarchitects — sponsoring @ryecommunityprimaryschool

🌿 @studio_gather — sponsoring Constantine Primary School

Four businesses. Four schools. And lots of brilliant planet-friendly books now on their way into the hands of children. 💚

Thank you to these four businesses for helping put books, reading and environmental awareness at the heart of their communities. 🌍📖

It’s always such a good feeling seeing the boot full of boxes knowing the difference they’re about to make. 🥰

In conversation with Julian Mills of @studio_gather, we talk beginnings, growth and an approach to considered sustainable architecture that lies at the heart of this practice.

Tell me a little bit about the beginnings of the practice, how it was formed and the ethos behind it.

The idea for the practice began almost a decade before it officially launched. Having spent my career studying and working in sustainable design, I was driven by the belief that architecture should leave a positive impact on both people and the planet.

Planting Day One at The Piggery 🌱

A special milestone for us as the contractor, seeing the final touches come together and the vision truly come to life.

It’s been wonderful to watch the original sketches by @zplandscapedesign and @studio_gather evolve into such a thoughtful and beautifully realised space. This project has breathed new life into a historic building while remaining respectful of its heritage and perfectly connected to its surrounding landscape.

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in creating something so special.

Installation day was a pleasure. Three steam bent benches installed in a secluded private garden for super creative and craft supporting owners.

Designed specifically for the site and made from Cornish oak, the benches explore bending hardwood under tension — using curved forms inspired in part by the string sculptures of Barbara Hepworth.

Thank you to @zplandscapedesign Can’t wait to go back to see the planting finishing off the gorgeous design.

Congrats on the exquisite workmanship from @samuelwinnbuild

Thank you to @brownsammel for top quality modelling!
