Photos of our adaptable signage system designed for the Perelman Arts District (PAD) at Brown University (@brownu). After receiving the logo for PAD, Studio Loutsis proposed a responsive logo “attaching” to a range of unique conditions that would modify the width, height, and depth of the logo. Many thanks to the talented, dedicated teams who collaborated closely on solving various challenges: integrating illuminated signage into the city and campus grid, conforming the depth of signage to the campus brickwork, and creating novel uses with patented resin, all while ensuring the material library remained coherent. Swipe to explore our process developing the graphics for the Top 50 Architects and Designers section of @aninteriormag Issue 26. Art Direction @studio_loutsis Type @swisstypefaces Suisseworks Text written by AN Interior describing our process: Studio Loutsis designed and produced the graphics for this year’s Top 50 list in-house with the direction to shrinkwrap the content. The arrangements packages the volumetric forms that result from arranging each of the award-winning practices. In true architectural fashion, these shapes were created in Rhino using Rhino 8’s “ShrinkWrap” command and then rendered by Studio Loutsis’s design team. These graphics feel like more than a flat image: They jump off the page, adding a three- dimensional element of surprise to the magazine.
