Some still photos of the HTH Cottage 🍂🤎 Ty flew up to Michigan this weekend to show houses to some buyers, and I was immensely jealous that we couldn’t tag along and soak up that glorious Michigan fall weather. With Cal only being 4 weeks old, I decided it was probably best to stay back in Florida with the kiddos.

While he was there, Ty spent some time at our cottage and left me the sweetest voice note about how much he loves our little Midwest escape. It made me so happy to hear him talk about this place with the same kind of love and connection that I feel for it.

And seeing it surrounded by Michigan fall color certainly doesn’t hurt. 🍁

Some homes are beautiful. And then there are the homes that make you want to slow down and stay awhile. 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a recent project with @hannahtyler_home in Michigan—a cottage Hannah and her husband, Tyler, renovated as their little piece of Michigan for the summer months.

Although they call Florida home, they spend their summers here, and this cottage feels like the perfect reflection of that slower, lighter way of living.

Every detail was thoughtfully considered. The spaces are bright and coastal, but never cold. Beautiful, but still incredibly warm and welcoming. Natural textures, soft colors, collected pieces and all the little details that make a house feel like home.

Hannah and Tyler have created something really special, and I always look forward to seeing what they’re dreaming up next. Their design has this effortless coastal brightness that makes you want to open the windows, let the light in, and stay awhile.

It was such a joy to photograph this space and collaborate with them again. There’s something pretty magical about photographing a home where every detail tells a story—and this one certainly did. ✨

That feeling when you get fresh project images back 💃 Obsessed with @studiobephotography’s captures of our Michigan cottage. This home was a labor of love (labor on my mind lately, lol)! We bought this little cape cod on a whim in October and renovated it remotely. We showed up to the empty house in June (me 8 mo pregnant) with a few weeks to furnish it top to bottom. We had a BLAST putting this house together as a family. We really wanted it to feel personal and collected, which is a lot more challenging to do on a tight timeline – it takes time to collect handmade art, vintage rugs, thrifted treasures, and more. Thankfully, I had a little collection of things I had been saving (like a Michigan pennant, a hundred year old 48 star flag, and Ty’s mom’s old tennis racket, and more). I didn’t know what I was saving them for until we moved to FL and this MI cottage dream was born! 🤍 I have so much to unpack about this renovation. Now that I have these beautiful images, I’ll start sharing all the things!! Tell me what you want to know! ⬇️
