Since we’re in the midst of a heatwave we’ve decided to hand over the kitchen to Grace Covo @__chubbz01 (of Sonora Tacos) for two nights of zing. For two days only we’ll be serving her menu, ice-cold, citrus-cured seafood, punchy aguachiles on tostadas alongside fried fish and chicken served with pickliz (Haitan slaw). The World Cup starts this Thursday! We’re celebrating it with screenings, late nights, and by launching The World Cup Burger Series. We’ve invited some of our favourite chefs to create burgers inspired by the games. Think warms nights, cold drinks, pintxos, guest chef burgers and the World Cup projected big. Some nights will run later, with DJs playing after the final whistle. Reserve your guest chef burger in advance via the link in bio (limited availability on the night). There’s a person hidden inside our logo. Here’s why. Studio InPlace began in a workshop with @studiobergini , exploring spatial design, structure, and how people actually move through place. The identity grew from graphic novel layouts, drafting stencils, and the strange satisfaction of systems that quietly hold everything together. Somewhere in the process, the studio itself changed shape too. Now every proposal, workshop, sketch and spatial strategy carries traces of that thinking. Velkommen tilbake (2): Studio Bergini Velkommen Tilbake is a series spotlighting Norwegian creatives practicing internationally. In this second edition, we are delighted to welcome @studiobergini Studio Bergini! Studio Bergini is a London-based graphic design practice founded by Francesco Corsini (IT) and Kristian Hjorth Berge (NO). Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2015, they have collaborated with artists, businesses, and cultural and educational institutions across a wide range of disciplines—creating identities, publications, exhibitions, websites, typefaces, wayfinding systems, packaging, and more. We are delighted to welcome Kristian back to Norway. Left background: the Qfwfq totem (2018) by Alessandro Mendini, named after a character by Italo Calvino. On display until 10 May at @estorickcollection in London, Qfwfq (covered in ALPI Pointillisme Col., a veneer designed by Mendini with Alex Mocika) belongs to Mendini's Tre Primitivi, a three-piece series he designed with basic, primitive shapes to express archaic monumentality.
