Luxury is Handmade ✨
In the 21st century, the meaning of luxury is changing. Today, true luxury is the ability to surround yourself with things that are not mass-produced, but created by the hands of skilled artisans.
For more than 160 years, M. Maurer has preserved and perfected the art of textile craftsmanship. From our workshops in Vienna, we create decorative cords, braids, tassels, fringes, embroidery, and exquisite textile embellishments for some of the world’s most elegant interiors.
The lampshades featured here are finished with handcrafted textile trimming produced by M. Maurer—a detail that transforms an object into a statement of timeless elegance.
Behind every piece is more than design. There is generations of expertise, exceptional craftsmanship, patience, and the human touch—qualities that cannot be replicated by mass production.
In a world of fast manufacturing, handmade has become the new luxury. Because true luxury is not about having more—it is about choosing something made with purpose, tradition, and uncompromising attention to detail.
M. Maurer — Since 1863. Truth in Details. ✨
