Oceans & Water ARE Life. What We Do The Waters Of The World, We Do To Ourselves. 🙏🩵🙏 THE NAT GALA 2026, screened “A Correspondence: From the Deep”, a @studioprince__ film featuring @dr.sylviaearle @thenat____ Through Sylvia’s voice and ocean imagery, the film moves between loss and return. Reefs recover. Wetlands hold. Whales return… but ALL, including all life on earth is in desperate, undeniable, fossil fuel & corporate greed driven, utter peril… we all are standing on the brink collapse & extinction. “Life can return. I’ve seen it happen again, and again, and again.” “TO BE HOPEFUL in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness. What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so very many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction. And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.” ~Howard Zinn 🌏☮️🇵🇸🍉🌏🙏❤️🌞❤️🙏🌎🍉🇵🇸☮️🌎 Directed by Nathan Prince, with an original score by Filipe Gomes.

Optimism is not blind hope. It is a grounded prerequisite for action and the evidence that systems can change direction. During THE NAT GALA 2026, we screened The Science of Optimism, a @studioprince__ film featuring @thomascrowtherofficial. Crowther explains how feedback loops can drive both collapse and recovery. Reminding us that humans are an active part of nature’s systems, the film moves through forests, rainfall, food production, restoration, technology and human behaviour, showing how regenerative options can cascade into positive tipping points. Systems can change direction, and we can help drive that change. A @studioprince__ film, directed by @nathan____prince, with an original score by @f_i_l_i_p_e_g_o_m_e_s.

"A Correspondence From the Deep" with @dr.sylviaearle "Water is Life" was the theme of this year's gala in NYC, and I'm really happy that some of the waves I shot in Nazaré were chosen for this short film, alongside one of the most vocal voices for the protection of the ecosystems and the wildlife beneath the surface. Thank you @studioprince__ and @nathan____prince for making this possible. It's truly an honour to have her voice over these Empties :)

NEW WORK ✨🌱 . Nature Returns for THE NAT . A living metaphor for growth and interconnection, Nature Returns reimagines proof of impact as a visual poem. Anchored in the idea that we are nature, it regenerates existing material into a carbon neutral work carrying themes of renewal, joy, and nature as a cultural force. Fragments of farming, fishing, fashion, seascapes, and biodiversity form a wider choreography of regeneration. The soundtrack mirrors the pulse of land, sky, and ocean, reflecting energy, fragility, and our shared inhabitation. . We worked to an ultra low carbon target and hit just 0.18 tCO₂e, then offset 2 tonnes through Gold Standard projects in Colombia and Panama, more than 10× our footprint, making the films carbon neutral and regenerative. . Directed by Nathan Prince & Heaven Conti . Original Score Filipe Gomes . Created with @thenat____ @incaevent @sunshinecompany for the inaugural NAT GALA launching Climate Week NYC. . On the eve of New York Climate Week, culture became climate action. Harrison Ford, @Billieeliish, Laurene Powell Jobs, @StellaMccartney all came together for the inaugural theNat___ Gala event. Project 17 led by @gail__gallie worked with @sunshinecompany, @incaevent, @therachelmuscat studio and @conservationorg to breathe life into this event, supported by the brilliant @julian.charriere, @we.are.ona, Chef @rozetraore, @Olivierchengcatering, @djmissmilan, @theartemisagency, @with_blackpearl, @iam_samata, @karlaotto, @studioprince__, @soundsright.earth and @quianaparks. Immersive soundscapes, installations, and performances created a night that was both cinematic and catalytic — raising funds for THE NAT’s flagship initiative, Trees & Seas. We are all Nature. If we all come together, we can save our planet, but it is going to take creativity, innovation and speed. All of which is possible. This is more than an event. It is a movement. 🌍 📽️: @simsnotebook #INCAProductions #TheNatGala #GlobalCreativeEventsStudio #CultureForNature

Nature Returns — a short film about growth, renewal, and our shared connection to the living world. This visual poem reimagines proof of impact — turning rhythm into growth, sound into scale, and imagery into interconnection. Anchored in the idea that we are nature, it regenerates existing material into a carbon-neutral work, celebrating nature as a contemporary cultural force — alive, dynamic, essential. Inspired by THE NAT’s mission to help close the $800B nature finance gap, the film reminds us that investing in nature isn’t charity — it’s reciprocity. Through fragments of farming, fishing, fashion, seascapes, and biodiversity, Nature Returns weaves a choreography of renewal, showing that when we invest in nature, nature returns. As we continue our journey to put nature front and centre in culture, we are inspired by those leading the way. Those redefining what it means to be a hero today. Most aren’t flashy. They spend years toiling away working behind the scenes to bend the arc of history toward justice, fairness, prosperity. They speak up. They push through. They make tough decisions. They lay groundwork for all those who might come after them. To bring this idea to life we commissioned @nathan____prince and the team at @studioprince__ to create a visual poem to honor them and their work. ‘Redefining Heroes’ uses 100% found footage and imagery. This film honours those leading the way for nature, from global environmental defenders to a new wave of innovators in fashion, art and culture. It reflects on heroism as care, courage and community.
