CLASSIC. LEGENDARY. FULFILLING. Hearing Qbert & Shortkut talk about how fulfilling this night was meant everything because THAT was the point. This wasn’t just another show. This was for the CULTURE & COMMUNITY. DJs. Breaking. Art. Music. OGs next to the next generation. Different scenes sharing one room. Music & dance are more than entertainment—they’re an escape, a connection, and a huge part of our lives. We want to keep bridging gaps between genres, generations & communities. Huge THANK YOU to @djqbert & @shortkut for blessing the stage and giving SD your energy. @kendothedj & @alyssadashbeth , thank you for ALWAYS supporting SSV. SAMIA! We threw curveball after curveball at you and you never blinked—you dug in and WENT YARD. ⚾️ THANK YOU! Thank you @queenbeessd and every artist, DJ, dancer, breaker, vendor & creative who made this night what it was. To the ENTIRE SSV TEAM—people saw one night. They didn’t see the MONTHS of planning, DMs, changes, loading, problem solving & preparation. This doesn’t happen without you. Massive love to @hkaudio_official & @reloopdj for POWERING the event, and every #FriendsOfTheCulture business, artist & individual who donated and supported us. 🙏🏽 🎥 Video: Ronek @got.no.control — thank you for capturing the night! And SD…KEEP COMING OUTSIDE. There are a million reasons not to pull up, but even more reasons TO. Culture doesn’t survive on likes. It survives when people walk through the door. Support the promoters. Venues. Small businesses. MCs. DJs. Dancers. Artists. Event coordinators. Support EVERYONE putting on for this town. We can’t bridge gaps or introduce this culture to new people without showing up for each other. SSV didn’t invent anything. We put our spin on what Hip-Hop has always done. If this inspires somebody else to throw a show—DO IT. Make it bigger. Make it better. Make it different. Give somebody else a platform. Because it’s not about me or SSV. It’s about creating spaces where SD’s dope creatives can BE SEEN & BE HEARD. Culture. Community. Consciousness. NEXT UP… 🍎 CRIMEAPPLE @ SODA BAR?! 🎤 MASTA ACE @ ADAMS AVE STREET FAIR! 👀 AND MORE… KEEP COMING OUTSIDE.

🚨🚨 OK… WE SAVED A BIG ONE FOR LAST. 🚨🚨 First off — sorry, I suck at promo videos. It’s an ISP show with @djqbert AND @shortkut not just Q. But forget the promo skills for a second and LOOK AT THIS. 🔥 TWO RELOOP RP-7000 MK2 TURNTABLES 🔥 ODYSSEY COFFIN CASE 🔥 ONE MORE CRAZY RAFFLE FOR TONIGHT Huge love to @djsweetchuck for hooking us up with these and continuing to support Soul Side Vinyl and what we’re trying to build. I was hoping we’d get a mixer to complete this monster setup…but hey, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE. 👀😂 Looking at you @guitarcenter @stereounlimited… somebody throw down for the culture! 😂🤝🏽 But here’s the bigger picture: THIS IS AN INVISIBL SKRATCH PIKLZ SHOW. DJ QBERT. DJ SHORTKUT. TOGETHER. TONIGHT. And we’ve built an entire celebration of Hip-Hop culture around it. 🎧 DJ Cipher hosted by @needleninjaz 💥 Breaker Competition hosted by @zero.sleepz + SPECIAL GUEST JUDGE 🎨 Street Art Gallery curated by @optic_194 🍽️ Food available on the back patio 🛍️ Vendors 🎁 An absolutely ridiculous amount of raffles 🎶 And a whole lot of community under one roof. Massive love to @djbert, @djshortkut and @kendothedj. Their graciousness, accessibility and genuine love for the community is a huge reason we’re able to make something like this happen. And THANK YOU to every single one of our #FriendsOfTheCulture who donated, shared, pulled up, helped, promoted or simply believed in this. This isn’t just about throwing a show. It’s about putting something back into the culture that gave all of us so much. 🔊 And from beginning to end, huge love to @reloopdj + @hkaudio_official for believing in what we’re building and helping us bring it to life. TONIGHT WE ROCK. 📍 Queen Bee’s Art & Cultural Center 🗓️ TODAY — AUGUST 15 ⏰ 6PM–12AM 🎟️ $20 PREORDER / $25 DOOR DON’T HEAR ABOUT THIS ONE TOMORROW.
