A small teaser of the rebrand and website refresh thatā€™s coming, alongside a nostalgic look back at where we started. šŸ„¹ 20 year old me, (the anxious, uncertain, not so confident version of me) would be so deeply grateful and proud of all weā€™ve learned. Honestly this post doesnā€™t show the hardships of this process, and the last years have also held touches of creative burnout, insecurity, and plenty of mistakes, but the Lord has been so kind, and what Iā€™m deeply thankful for is the growth and the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles. šŸ«¶šŸ» Thanks for reminiscing with me! āœØ

Who is in the headspace to celebrate something with me? The first part of this year has been a doozy so Iā€™ve waited to share but over the last few months I have been putting a lot of thought and energy into a project that I think is worth giving some attention to. I have a brand new wedding photography website! Iā€™m so grateful I found @thestudiostefan and that they were able to design such a beautiful, unique site for me. I could cry thinking about how wonderful they are to work with. They deciphered all my right brained ideas and really helped me understand what I wanted. Iā€™m so proud of what we created. Itā€™s an accumulation of so many years of my life and so many things that I care about. I think itā€™s worth celebrating the hard things that weā€™ve done, that weā€™ve stuck with. The moments of insecurity. The unknowns about the future. The hustling for our family and the sacrifices we make as parents and as business owners. And I just feel really, really grateful that I get to spend time working in such a meaningful way. Yes, Iā€™ve worked hard, but itā€™s not lost on me how much luck and privilege have also played a part in where I am today. I donā€™t take that for granted. And, PS. Guess who my coworker is? The sun. Me and that giant shining star in the sky just hang out together and co-create photographs. And itā€™s pretty incredible. So thatā€™s what I wanted to share. Thatā€™s what I wanted to celebrate. I know thereā€™s a lot of other things on everybodyā€™s mind, but this community has meant a lot to me, and, I want to keep creating. I donā€™t want to be a consumer. I want to be creator. And I want to keep making and bringing beautiful things into this world, to counteract the hard parts. And I feel like thatā€™s what we all need to be doing. We need to create, we need to create beauty. And we need to not stop. When I launched Juniper Lane in late 2019, I built a basic website myself, before I really knew what direction the business would take or if it would even succeed. Six years, one pandemic and nearly 100 events + weddings later, it was high time for a brand glow-up and this time I decided to bring in talented professionals to help. Iā€™m so excited to unveil our new look today with a completely revamped website courtesy of @thestudiostefan Meggan @thestudiostefan has impeccable taste and immediately understood what I was looking for. Thank you to @theliterary.co for helping me to find all the right words and @michaelajoyphotography for my new headshots. This has been a true labor of love and Iā€™m so proud of the end result! Itā€™s a bizarre moment in time right now trying to run a small biz and help couples plan celebrations of love when there is so much suffering, hatred, division and uncertainty in the world, and we are watching our freedoms in this country disappear. But I felt a glimmer of hope and inspiration with this past Sundayā€™s halftime show, such a moving example of using joy and art as a form of resistance and important reminder that the only thing more powerful than hate is love ā¤ļø
