I watched What Planet Are You On? at Rangshila Theatre tonight, and it is a total masterpiece! It takes a heavy topic like ADD and turns it into a heartwarming celebration of being different.
Directed by Akarsh Khurana, this quick 60-minute play is about a kid named Homi dealing with ADD, but it is so much more than that. It is the most beautiful, funny, and heartwarming reminder that being different isn’t a flaw—it’s just living on your own brilliant frequency.
Siddharth Kumar was absolutely incredible as Homi. He brought the character to life with so much purity and charm. Instead of asking “what planet is this kid on?”, the play completely flips it and makes you realize how lucky we are that he let us into his world.
I literally left the theatre with a full heart, a lump in my throat and a massive appreciation for the kids who see the world a little differently. Huge thank you to Akarsh Khurana and Akvarious Productions for putting together such a beautiful, important piece of art. If you get a chance, please go watch it! ✨🎭

UsPaar, you have my heart and soul.

Last month, for five whole days, we had the luxury of pausing time and just working.

For the last one year, I have been running three plays, filling applications, writing proposals, planning tours, and trying to personalise applications for every festival. No, I am not complaining. (Okay, of course I am a little. Just a little.) But somewhere along the way, I think I had forgotten why I started doing what I do. The sheer joy of being in a rehearsal room, finding meaning in words, and rediscovering the same script for the nth time.

Sharvari, Ankita and I went to UsPaar to crack a major problem in our upcoming play, Enough by Stef Smith. I have never tackled a play this challenging, and I walked into the space with a rather scary feeling. For the first time in my life, I couldn't see or hear the play. I only had an idea of what the play was not. And honestly, I didn't know where to begin.

Sharvari and Ankita, you are the best collaborators I could have asked for. There is something so special about being in a room where you can sit with a problem, turn it around, question everything, get stuck, start again, and trust that something will emerge.

Sapan and Sunil Sir, I cannot thank you enough for making this possible. And to the entire UsPaar team, thank you for giving us the time, the space, and the permission to just work.

UsPaar, I am going to write you a love letter someday. But until then, please, please, PLEASE take me back once more.

We can't wait to share our little play, Enough, with you this December.

P.S. I took my camera out after a long time and tried clicking some pictures.

Every show leaves us with something special…
Sometimes laughter, sometimes memories, and sometimes the joy of connecting with people. ❤️

Yesterday’s show left us with something beautiful too.

Our playful moments on stage and the response we received from the audience… it’s all these little things that make every show special.

A beautiful day, wonderful people, and some unforgettable moments lived on stage! 🤡🎭

Thank you for bringing all of us together, Sapan, to celebrate Sunil’s 70th. ❤️

A lovely afternoon spent with the theatrewalas, reminiscing about memories with Mr. Shanbag.

So much joy and love you’ve given us, Sunil. I know you’re rather shy about receiving all this love, but please take it all in. We have so much of it, just for you.

I finally got a photograph with you after all these years! And it made me realise, once again, just how hard directors work to hold a team together and create a world that we all get to be a part of.

Upwards and onwards, ahoy, Sunil! Here’s to the next round.

Love & only love… ❤️
Namit

A story of a Nawab…
Two clowns…
And a delightful journey filled with laughter, play, magic and mischief!

📖 Inspired by the characters and the word-world of renowned author Abid Surti’s book Nawab Rangeele —

✨ Ek Nawab Do Rangile
This is not just a play…
It is not traditional storytelling either…
It is an eccentric, hilarious performance rooted in theatre clowning! 🤡

Two performers bring multiple characters and situations to life —
sometimes through words,
sometimes through movement,
and sometimes… without saying a single word!

But in the end, there is only one question —

👑 Who will become the Nawab???
Come, find out for yourself!

रंगलेल्या मैफलीनंतर… कलाकाराच्या मनातलं! 🎭❤️

‘Same Same But Different’च्या प्रयोगानंतर कैलाश वाघमारे यांनी उर्जा रंगभवन आणि Urja Theatre Festival विषयी आपल्या भावना व्यक्त केल्या.
