Wrapping up the first cohort for @conceptsight Creative Consultation and all i can say is: wow!

This divine design of the universe’s algorithm never ceases to amaze. Like, i’ve had this post planned for over TWO years: what are the chances that I’m wearing the SAME dress that I wore when I recorded the Creative Consultation announcement? 😅🧡

Key takeaways in no particular order:
🌸 There is so much to be gained in trusting your visibility and your redirection.
⏳ June calendar will open on 31 May, 2024
🥂 Swipe to see the menu of all the FREE services that will be offered for the 3rd and final free cohort of creatives. The focus is to narrow in on specificity.
💡SAVE THE DATE: My first ever Instagram live event! How exciting? On June 3rd, 2024. Open to anyone who may have more questions about this program or seeking specific insights on current projects, etc.! See you there 🧡🧡💕🌸

To know my journey is to know that I have always prioritised opportunities to operate as a resource. It is partly what keeps me pushing because i am intent on offering light & guidance. It’s been almost 2 weeks into the program. I’ve sent out the first round of assessment packets and I genuinely can’t wait to see how useful it is to the community of clients we are building.

After June, the calendar will be closed for the entire month of July. When it resumes in August, services will be available with a small-small fee. The aim is to keep this accessible while honouring the value of what I bring. Cheers! 🥂

P.S.: as a fun accountability exercise, I included images of all the versions of myself who thought about this idea but didn’t pursue it. Cheers to them for redirecting commitments to expand expertise in preparation for this ✨very✨ moment. #tefftheory #conceptsight #trending

With current talk revolving around Netflix's "Self-Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C. J. Walker" and relevant conversations about another Black beauty entrepreneur Annie Turnbo Malone, we started thinking. The word “beauty” has no shortage of scholarly work that’s been conducted on its meaning, how it should look and its history. Yet when it comes to how Black women are presented within the beauty advertisements of women’s fashion magazines, the results are nil. Former beauty editor working at ESSENCE magazine, Andrea Arterbery (@aarterbery) explores the topic in her 2019 thesis, from which an excerpt appears now on MoCADA Digital with her permission. Read it now. We create to connect. We create to uplift. We create to unlearn to learn how to properly do it for own liking at our own pace. We do it with the right tribe, with the right motion, in the right places, with the right mindset and the right intention. What do you create for? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We love these photo series from @studiotheory believing in the quality of Creativity as Connectivity. These photographs were inspired by an image from Course of Colour - a portrait project featuring 15 women using color to express their identity + mental state + aura. Photographed by Stephanie C.
