OOAK is your new favourite spring artisan show! 💖

The 2024 Spring One Of A Kind (OOAK) Show (@ooak_toronto ) is back in Toronto from March 27-31!!

As an annual show attendee, I've loved going to the OOAK every year to support and buy from the most talented new and continuing makers, artisans and designers across Canada 🇨🇦

If you're looking for something unique, crafted or distinctive - whether it's to gift yourself or another special person - OOAK features everything you need from accessories to ceramics, to personal care and artwork! (350 vendors!!) 😍

In this reel are a few of the vendors at the event! Though I couldn't fit them all in the video, tagged are all the makers we loved meeting and chatting to today 🩷📸

Make sure to check it out (last day tomorrow!) and follow OOAK to keep up to date for their next events 😉 [#partnered]

My final haul from the Toronto One Of A Kind Spring show at the Enercare Centre, on through tomorrow:

Lunatic & Tide @lunatic_and_tide - three of Allison's sweet magnets and her amazing octopus sublimation-printed on a strong Canadian-made canvas bag

Rachelle & Fallon @clayrush77 - a beautiful glazed mushroom for one of my plant pots

StumpCraft Puzzles @stumpcraft - three more of the smaller ones, all of which have extra hidden puzzles inside, plus one of the next size up

Treat Bombs @thetreatbombs - two of Melanie'd decadent marshmallows (lemon meringue didn't make it home)

Cheese Maker @cheesemaker.ca - after a nice chat with Alexis I settled on the Mozza & Ricotta kit, may try it today!

Home By Faith @Homebyfaith - playing cards from Jackie! Nice linen texture...

Old Soul Project @oldsoulproject - Alex's booth was very popular, we chatted while he customized my bracelets on the spot, and I wore them all day - they really did seem to help me focus

The Toronto One Of A Kind Spring show is in full swing at the Enercare Centre. Here are some of my favourite vendors:

StumpCraft Puzzles @stumpcraft - Jasen Robillard brought his new collection of stunning, high-quality, challenging wooden Puzzles to town. I took a few more off his hands.

Treat Bombs: @thetreatbombs - Melanie Nim has created some lovely tea, latte, hot chocolate, and cocktail Bombs, along with some pretty decadent marshmallows.

Cheese Maker: @cheesemaker.ca - Alexis and Jeremy Bossio have inspired me! Make cheese, in your home, any time you like with these kits. I may try to make one tomorrow!

Coo-mon Accessoires Et Cultures: @coomonaetc - Ingrid Agbato sources her gorgeous textiles from around the world and creates wonderful conversation-starting items.

Hana & Hala: @hanalacreations - While Fathima Safna Mohamed Sahileen has been creating on a larger scale for a long time, her shift ro these tiny, perfect canvases is relatively new.

Old Soul Project: @oldsoulproject - Alex D'Oliveira brings his unique fidget/exercise/meditation bands to the masses. I picked up a couple and he customized them for me on the fly.

Lunatic & Tide @lunatic_and_tide - Allison Orr's work is simply astonishing. I was so happy to find her again this time!

Farah Cornely @farahcornely - Farah Cornely's work is beautiful and intricate, fancy and homey at the same time.

Jeux Face 4 @jeuxface4 - Joel Legrand's family- friendly trivia and educational card games.

Daily Snail Mail @dailysnailmail - My photos fail to reflect the colours and textures on these works of art, which Karin Taylor creates by hand, beginning to end.

Rachelle & Fallon @clayrush77 - Rachelle O’Keefe has an eye for whimsy and her work is so engaging.

Interrupting all the fun posts about the US nationals to share these gorgeous @stumpcraft mini puzzles I worked on earlier this month! This was a release from last year that my friend loaned me to work on which is always such a treat 🥰

The only downside to these puzzles is that the fun is over too soon but I know that’s the whole point of a mini puzzle 😂 This fleet of minis was a joint design collab, with Siri designing Larch Valley and Jasen designing the other two. I loved the alternate solution for each one but I think the one for Larch Valley was my favourite.

I’m looking forward to visiting Stumpcraft this week at the @ooak_toronto and if you’re in Toronto or the GTA, make sure you check them out March 27-31st. If you’re familiar with their upcoming releases, you might want to check out their account because there may be a clue about a new release possibly being launched at the show this week *wink wink, nudge nudge*

It was a year ago today that I finished building my @stumpcraft “Lac La Hache Wildflowers” puzzle for the first time. Seeing my artwork transformed into this vibrant and fascinating wood jigsaw puzzle was an incredibly exciting experience. I went onto the website today to read again the deep dive that accompanied my puzzle release at the time. And I came across two new recent reviews. Both made me smile. I’m always so happy to hear that my puzzle is continuing to bring some puzzling joy to people, even now, a year later. 🥰

I was so pleased to learn that one of my local friends had this in her collection and let me borrow it to work on! This was my second stumpcraft with Katerina’s artwork so I had somewhat of an idea of what to expect because the last one was so challenging. I find this style of artwork difficult to puzzle but the beautiful fall colours made it a joyful experience. Appropriately rated as a 3 out of 5 difficulty despite the smaller piece count but extremely enjoyable and rewarding build!

I loved the nostalgic theme of the artwork and all the sweet design elements. Among my favourites were the alternate solution globe, the multi-piece whimsy of the school bus with the waving driver and the crossing guard with the heart nub (I think Stumpcraft refers to these as character locks but I keep forgetting to ask).

Thank you to my friend for letting me work on this! It’s always such a treat to put together these special puzzles 🥰
