Landing in Vancouver has me thinking back to this incredible evening of spectacular wines at the @stylebysarai Atelier.

There’s not much I enjoy more than bringing people together through the stories of wine. So often, wine is simply poured to accompany a meal, a moment or a conversation. But with the right wines and a curious mind, what’s in the glass becomes something so much more.#

Part Two: Sharad Mohan.

Sharad's idea of leadership isn't about being the best in the room, it's about making everyone else better. In the second half of our conversation, he talks about the leaders who've shaped how he thinks about influence, from a captain who led without needing to be the top scorer, to a tech CEO known for leading with empathy, and closes with the advice he'd give his own younger self: enjoy the journey, don't wait for the end game.

Part two of two, and the final conversation in this series.

Five guests. Ten conversations. One question running through all of it: what does it actually take to build something of your own. If this series proved anything, it's that the answer looks different for everyone, and that might be the whole point. Some things compound quietly, a bottle of wine, a career, a series of honest conversations, and the value only shows itself over time.

Every glass along the way: Laughing Stock Vineyards, poured from the Naramata Bench.

Episode Five: Sharad Mohan.

Every great portfolio, in wine or in business, comes down to who you build it with. Ask Sharad what's carried him through building businesses across industries, and it isn't strategy, it's people: his wife, his co-founders, and the lessons passed down from his parents, fiscal discipline from his father, energy and generosity from his mother. In this conversation, over a glass of Laughing Stock, the CEO of @opus1.io talks about the mentors who shaped how he leads, the discomfort of stepping into an entirely new industry after fifteen years in one space, and why he walks away from anything that stops exciting him.

Part one of two. Filmed at Sarai Atelier, poured from the Naramata Bench.

Part Two: Curtis Christopherson.

Even the best wine needs time to rest before it's ready. Curtis makes the case that we do too. As a former athlete, he spent years optimizing performance before realizing recovery mattered just as much. In the second half of our conversation, over a glass of Laughing Stock wine, he talks about what a real rest day actually looks like, why the biggest misconception about healthy living is that it has to be all or nothing, and why connection and community may be the most underrated factor in a long, fulfilling life.

Part two of two. Poured from the Naramata Bench.

Episode Four: Curtis Christopherson.

A great vintage isn't made in a day. Curtis believes the future of health works the same way. In this conversation, over a glass of Laughing Stock, the CGO of @ammortal_official talks about a shift from group fitness to true personalization, powered by AI, and why real balance isn't something you chase daily, it's something you build over months and years.

Filmed at Sarai Atelier, poured from the Naramata Bench.

Part Two: Angus An.

Not every dream works out, and sometimes that's exactly how you find the one that does. In the second half of our conversation, Angus talks candidly about the restaurant that didn't survive, the confidence it cost him, and how that setback led him to @maenamrestaurant, the one he now calls exactly what it was always meant to be.

Part two of two.

Episode Three: Angus An.

Some of the best pairings don't come from a rulebook, they come from instinct: taste the wine, taste the food, let that be enough. In this conversation, Chef Angus An talks about building something that feels elevated without losing its warmth, why comfort food deserves as much craft as fine dining, and how travel keeps shaping the way he cooks.

Part one of two.
