Treehouse team appreciation post 💕🌴
I feel so proud of, supported by, and peaceful with this team we have.

I’ve been thinking about our common thread, and I realized we all have come from a background of a lot of training during our apprenticeships and more “upscale” salons. We’ve taken what we’ve learned from our training: the professionalism, the attention to detail, the commitment to customer service and have blended it with our own unique styles and personalities.

Basically, the quality of a high end salon without the pretense and stuffiness. I think that is why this team has been working so well- we know the customer and professionalism is #1, but we also have a commitment to having an environment where we are comfortable to be ourselves.

Our team is growing and we are excited to see some new faces in the salon! Before that happens, I wanted to pause and acknowledge how far we have come together. Thank you to these humans for making the salon a better place to be 💕💕

Wiiii life update: Michael and I got married on November 14, 2025 ☺️💗 We are beyond grateful to everyone who came to celebrate our new life with us—from our Seattle-based family and friends to our loved ones who traveled from afar! It was a beautiful day that we would relive again.

Leading up to our wedding, I wore the hat of a wedding planner haha and although at times it was stressful to think about/finalize one detail after another, I enjoyed every bit of it. More importantly, I wasn’t alone in putting everything together. Michael was my partner through it all—we made small and big decisions together. Lea ordered my waling-waling earrings, veil, and ceremony dress in Manila. She bought us Capiz shell coasters which we gave to many of our guests. Papa and mama helped me assemble our thank you gift bags. They commuted with me when I needed to pick up my wedding dress, our guest book instructions, and our name cards. Among many other things that they did so I didn’t get too overwhelmed. Maddie organized the best bridal shower with Shirley. Marwa and Nicole became my wedding coordinators on the day of our wedding. They even made Kilig so pretty with flowers from Trader Joe’s! Thomas and Alex hosted. Pat and David dropped off mom and dad at Kilig. Mommy Lori made our wedding cake. Amy gave me my dream hair as part of our collaboration ahhh! VyVy and her team at Kilig were amazing every step of the way ☺️ Everyone, including Michael and me, had a fantastic time! The food was divine.

We couldn’t have asked for more. We were guided, cared for, and blessed.

We were loved 😭

Our wedding became my priority this past month and a half, apart from photo projects I wrapped up, assignments I finished for Tacet Eye, and travels with Michael, mama, and papa. (Daming ganap!) The work was so worth it. I had a lot of fun!

In a few days, I’ll be ready to dive back into my photo and creative practice. 2026 is right around the corner—I’m eager to hone in and grow 🍃

Not by my own effort, but with a community rallying behind me.
