If you like nature, water, a little calm, a few curious bugs and that golden sparkle on the river at sunset… you’ve found your kind of place. ✨🌿

This is the river Drava, the river that gave life to Maribor.

For centuries, it was a trading route, a source of water and a place where people came together. And somehow, it still is a favorite place of many people.

Today, the river brings together a different kind of crowd: people who come to slow down, breathe deeper, enjoy nature and simply be by the water.

Maybe that’s one of the most beautiful things about the Drava. It has always been part of Maribor life, just in different ways. 💙

Would you spend an evening by the Drava?

Save this for your next Maribor visit!

The locomotive with factory number 2724 was manufactured in 1922 at the Vienna locomotive factory Lokomotivfabrik Floridsdorf. The Class 25 (originally the Austrian BBÖ Class 270) was designed for hauling heavy freight and passenger trains on hilly lines. Between and after both world wars, it was one of the most important and common classes on the Slovenian railway network, as it successfully overcame steep climbs.

Lokomotivo s tovarniško številko 2724 so izdelali leta 1922 v dunajski tovarni Lokomotivfabrik Floridsdorf.
