🦉🗯️ ANYONE FOR A THROWBACK??? We’re feeling a little nostalgic for the 2025 Slate Festival as we gear up for the 2026 Slate Festival! We had such a blast last year and hope you’ll join us again this year :) Each night you will have an opportunity to experience the work of our returning artist, Almost Through April, along side performances from Cam MacGregor, Lou Sementilli, and Scott Yoo Ryu! And the night doesn’t end after these performances!! Join us after the show for a talk back with all these stellar artists. Talk to them about their process, what you liked about their work, and anything else your heart desires. Many of these pieces are still in development, so the artists want to hear from YOU directly. 3 days of music, theatre, reflection and JOY!!! Sooo… say you’ll be there, at The Slate, October 15 - 17 at The Green (36 James Street, St Catharines). Tickets on sale NOW! Check the link in our bio :) PWYC tickets will be available at the door, pending seat availability.

There’s something ridiculously fun about a room full of actors with permission to just play. No perfection. No preciousness. Just curiosity, instinct, laughter, and the occasional “wait… what if we tried THIS?” A little peek into the beautiful chaos of a play workshop. . . . #actor #workshop #browngirlbloggers #theatre #viral

The problem with loving what you do? You’re always chasing the finished product. The solution? Fall in love with the room before it becomes one. The scripts. The choices. The conversations. The ridiculous moments between the serious ones. The discoveries that only happen when artists are given space to play. Looking back, what a lovely journey this was. Every process leaves something behind. A new instinct. A question you hadn’t thought to ask. A little more courage to make the unexpected choice. And, occasionally, photographic evidence of you folding yourself over a chair for the sake of storytelling. Thank you, Red Beti Theatre, for the invitation, the trust, and such a generous space to create. Another story carried with me. Onto the next room. ✨ . . . #theatre #acting #workshop #hamilton #fyp

Oh, how I love being an actor! 🤍 From Chamkeeli to the Cosmic Mother Durga … what a journey! Two women … Two completely different worlds … Two opposite energies … And somewhere between them … an actor. One week, I stepped into the world of ‘Chamkeeli’ … a sex worker carrying her pain, vulnerability, dignity and fierce strength to survive. The very next week, I found myself embodying the Cosmic Mother Goddess Durga in ‘Brick Lane Bargain’ … representing Shakti and divine feminine energy in a world woven around the eternal love of Radha & Krishna. And in this beautiful season of Bappa’s blessings, with Devi Maa’s celebrations just around the corner, I feel especially blessed to have been given the privilege of portraying two incredibly strong women … two completely different expressions of feminine strength. One earthly … One divine One wounded … One powerful One judged … One worshipped And somewhere between the woman who is judged and the Goddess who is worshipped stood me .. the actor, surrendering to both. That, perhaps, is the most beautiful privilege of being an actor … to step into lives that could not be further apart, yet discover the strength, spirit and humanity that connect them. From Chamko to Durga … from the earthly to the divine … what a beautiful & memorable experience it has been. Grateful to my stars! 🙏🏻
