He had heard other people say God spoke to them. He had always questioned it.

Then something changed.

In this moment from our conversation, @satsang shares how three weeks of illness left him feeling spiritually stripped back, asking one question:

“What do you want from me?”

What stayed with me was how openly Drew described it. The skepticism, the certainty he felt in that moment, and the vulnerability of not knowing what came next.

And catch Satsang live with Brian Ernst on November 13 at @sugarshack_downtown in Bonita Springs.

Downtown Bonita Springs Was Busy Last Night!

The October 24th Bar Crawl brought a great crowd to downtown Bonita Springs. The streets were filled with people enjoying the evening, showing off their Halloween costumes, and hopping on the trolley.

Happy Haunts Halloween Walk-Through is going on now through the 31st, 5:30pm-10pm, and it is well done!

I took these drone photos to capture the activity around Old 41, the historic Banyan Tree, and the newly renovated splash pad at Banyan Square.
It’s always great to see downtown Bonita Springs busy with people out enjoying everything the area has to offer.

Photos captured by UAVTours - FAA Part 107-certified and insured.

Cool video coming soon!

Naples is changing. Mahjong is apparently amphibious.

This week: Aspen money on Fifth Avenue, Cars on 5th headed for Bayshore, 20 women playing floating mahjong at The Perry, and a Weekend Wave involving quilts, crystal singing bowls, and live music.

I read a 1987 urban planning report. I played mahjong in a pool. I remain deeply committed to this kind of journalism.

New issue of The Naples Current is out now. Link in bio. 💗
