Coaching
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Hats off to you for competing in your first bodybuilding show or maybe you’ve lost over 100+ lbs.

Do you learn things along the way of your journey? Of course you do, with the right coach, you can learn quite a bit. Hey 👋 🛑, let’s put the brakes on for a second. We’ve just ran a pretty major journey to see what works for me. Ok, we gotta remember are you that person that what you just did can work on the masses. You only equate to N=1, and that’s very little data if you know anything about science. It’s good we’ve learned something.

Now, the next part is developing the knowledge, that’s going to help you with the masses and more about the averages of how to manage more than just you. Seminars and certifications can be helpful with the right people in your corner. Tik tok and IG can be a shitshow as far as information goes. Everytime you have a problem, you think AI 🤖 is your answer. I hope you can answer questions from your clients easier than looking each one up. The experience factor is something that comes with time, education and application of them.

Try and build up a bit more than a couple of shows of competing or 100+ transformation. They can be tools in the toolbox 🧰, but they’re very small tools.

I was discussing with a fellow coach, and he is a very good coach, but many can sometimes have issues with coaching females. The nuances of coaching women vary person to person more than males for sure. When you start off in the coaching business and almost all your clients are female, you gotta be pressed to figure it out. I did, but it was lots of hours of classes, seminars and even trial and error.

Results come from these things
1. Experiences
2. Education
3. Application of 1&2
4. Results also speak volumes

The bikini class sometimes gets shit when they compete or how they workout. For years now, I haven’t skewed to the point of training a division, but the body.

What’s gonna happen to most bikini girls as they try and build muscle is gonna be limited due to the way their bodies add muscle from their structure and genetics. It’s how they end up in the bikini due to their response to the stimulus. Does it mean they don’t work? To me this truly depends on your training program from your coach at hand. If you look at the criteria for bikini they’ll generally have the least muscle of all the divisions. That doesn’t mean you train like that. You still bust your ass daily trying to maximize muscle.

I’m all for bikini girls doing similar training to most of the other divisions. You don’t try and downplay training just to he a bikini competitor. It’s hard to defy your genetics, they’re gonna do their thing. You give your efforts at maximal performance and you’ll build muscle to the best of your genetics ceilings. It takes time to build muscle as well, especially as a natural athlete.

Originally years ago, Crystal started as a figure competitor and won her pro card in the WNBF and did very well at the WNBF worlds. Eventually, the figure class outgrew her in terms of the muscle being awarded and what she could build. We did move down to bikini and the first year or so, she was actually being told she was a bit much for the bikini class. Eventually the division evolved and she won her OCB pro card in bikini.

All of my girls, bikini, wellness, figure or physique, they have one thing in common, well two I guess, they won 🏆, but they also did the hard work and the basics. From the upper body work to the lower body tough stuff. They squatted, deadlifted, benched, pull ups and so many of the other basics and their shapes shined on stage. Don’t think your arms are gonna get too big, you’re gonna get bulky and thick waisted, just wear a waste trainer then(sarcasm people), dumbest thing ever. Get after them basics and you’ll be creating the curves for bikini too.

Contact me if you’re ready to work and be successful in any division you compete in.

I know what we used to do with our clients. I’d do the prep which included the training and nutrition, and the perfect complement to what I did was getting your posing in with Crystal. She’s damn good at it. I still send my clients to her because I know their posing will be on point, whether they’re experienced or new to posing. She breaks it down in a way needed to bring out their strengths and hide their weaknesses. She also can break it down into simpler moves to build up to the whole process. It’s just Synergy. What can I say. So, just realize what I do to show off what I give them in terms of muscle and definition, she’s let’s it shine on stage.

She helped @michaela.shaarda.fit win her OCB figure pro card online and yesterday she helped @jennadog07 win her OCB wellness pro card.

She does it in person or online. Contact her @writesandweights

In person posing can be done in Garwood, NJ.

The things that are gonna save you from looking balanced is what your genes 🧬 are gonna do, how your muscles hypertrophy in certain areas, how your bones keep that structure reduced in the way you were made.

Let’s not try and start skipping bodyparts for the sake of a class. I’ve seen it done numerous times and it usually doesn’t end well in terms of what you’ll see up top in a wellness girl or bikini competitor.

I’ve had some really good experience with some really top level wellness girls that have both won their pro cards and on top of that, they’ve both done very well in their pro shows, one winning a pro wellness title at the OCB Conquer and one coming in 2nd in her pro wellness debut. They didn’t look deficient in their upper bodies nor did they look balanced either, they’re not made that way, simple facts. I’d rather have muscle there than look like they aren’t developed there at all. If the legs are gonna leg, they’ll respond regardless of excessive frequency.

I’ve also had my share of bikini competitors that turned pro, won pro classes, won pro shows and even won the Yorton. I mean what the hell are they doing? They won’t skipping bodyparts and you think that is the way because of the enhanced side of the sport or some other female coach stressing you to be imbalanced and weak? I’m here to tell you that’s not the case.

I’m really not sure 🤔 what kind of muscle you’re expecting to build on the frames we see, it’s very odd and worse to skip it than embrace it. I got another bikini girl coming and just wait to see the muscle we’ve built believing in the system I know that works.

This system has been developed over 25+ years of strength training and competing near 35 years. Results kind of back up what I say. Weird right. Well just keep working with the girls that want to he successful over their entire body. Bodybuilding is about symmetry with small nuances that occur due to genetics/structure.

Undeniable-when things start to mount in your favor and how they place in shows. There just be something to what he’s doing with his clients and the work they’ve done over the 25+ years I’ve been doing this. DM me if you’re ready to do work and win

You never know what you do here quietly behind the scenes here on social media for some people.

I have such a passion for this game of contest prep, and I hope what I do with my clients is compared to a mini education. Educate and learn why.

People watch and they’re are some that like what I bring to the table, while some might call it speaking in absolutes(which by the way regardless of no disclaimer, I don’t speak in absolutes). What I bring to the table?

1. My education is something I pride myself on with experience and finally the application of them, and if done right? The results SHINE ✨
2. I speak the truth
3. I’m honest
4. I don’t sugarcoat
5. I set the example for others by continuing to lift heavy compounds regardless of past injuries and AGE

Be a coach that wants to educate the consumer/client through the things that I have learned through my education that I invested in so that you don’t make the same mistakes I did back when I didn’t know any better, my younger years. We can make the process that much more smoother than what it used to be. We have higher standards than most influencers because we’re not trying to sell you something, we’re trying to educate you. Teach you a solid system with less bullshit and more solid research.

Yes, they’re watching so continue to do your thing and they’ll start to show up for you, teach them well and continue to lead and inspire. You can do this and I can teach you to be your best you through a combination of years of experience and evolving to the science we now know today.

So many new faces and such great people to see their work out in daily as they prepare for a show or just cruising along in an offseason.

They all continue to work hard and out the work in regardless of where they are in terms of in season and offseason.

Some are coming back healthier others are ending their season and others are still working on their finished product. We will come back better from the previous time.

@poweredbycaffeineandchaos has gotten a 235 deadlifts and does pull ups likes nobody’s business
@lauren.fiit is ready to go once again and I can’t wait to see a healthy muscular one back on the stage.
@megankuhns_trainer cruised to her OCB pro card in physique this year shredded and all. Beautiful job
@d1ve_1nto_m0t1on came into this year looking ready to compete on that stage and in 2 shows he brought home the OCB pro card. Only better from here. It’s what he knows.
@legslikemarcus has come into this year competing in 2 pro shows and battling with the best in the OCB. A 3rd overall at one and 3rd in a crazy presidential group. One big one left
@michaela.shaarda.fit started off prep the hard way breaking part of her foot, but she persevered and in her 2nd show won her OCB pro card in figure. She continues to impress weekly offseason.
@suleimyu has hit an offseason hard and we’re bringing her back bigger and better and leaner. Just wait for this one.
@lindseyweeks_fit has worked through a couple of obstacles but continues to improve wait til we finish this one and head into prep.
@amxsel has worked through a couple of smaller issues, but she’ll back badder and curvier than last time. She’ll be putting in the work, just wait for her next stage appearance.

I can’t imagine how all of these individuals make my job fun, challenging and rewarding all at the same time. I can’t thank all of you enough for trusting in me for all the work we’ve done and will continue to do as we get into 2027.

Don’t chase the easiest path. Chase the one that makes the struggle meaningful.

Let’s keep pushing to be better and stronger each day we wake up for ourselves and for those around us that we take care of and influence.

So far the 3 pro card winners on the top row are in 3 different divisions, figure, bodybuilding and women’s physique. They all won their OCB pro cards this year and as far as movements go, we kept it basic and balanced as I like to say. @michaela.shaarda.fit never competed before but even when she sent me pics, I knew I was looking at something special with very good muscle in the legs and butt, a small waist and good V taper. Once we dieted her down, yep it was all there and so was the balance. Michaela won her OCB pro card @ocbdayton in figure.

@d1ve_1nto_m0t1on had some good solid years of training and his legs weren’t lacking and most guys you’re playing catch up with them. Not Scott. In his 2nd show ever, Scott won his OCB pro card @ocb_blaze_of_glory in bodybuilding.

@megankuhns_trainer has been training for a while now and has done powerlifting and strong man competitions. She had a great shape and was just working on a few areas from last year. Well her training was still very balanced even though I didn’t work with her on that part, but trust me a little emphasis on the legs, but balanced. Megan competed in one of the biggest women’s physique classes I can remember at the @ocbcleveland and won her OCB masters pro card and open overall pro card in women’s physique.

Now, we got some serious bikini girls working hard for next year and they all have their different bodies. I think all very balanced for each of them, but just slightly different builds. Their bodies are gonna be trained similarly to the above pro card bodies and winners of their OCB pro cards. @suleimyu has got some great curves and well continue to accentuate them. We just bring the leanness and retain that muscle. @lindseyweeks_fit has a great combo of shape and metabolism to lose quicker. A tiny waist and a very balanced physique, we’ll just balance her out a bit. Finally, @amxsel has a great shape just in a smaller frame. We just want to work hard to bring her muscle up before she gets on stage again.

Let their bodies do the work and I’m sure we’ll see what we want to see for these future pro card ladies. Bikinis gonna be strong in 27!

Next year 2027, we’ve got things planned for some these great girls coming to compete. Had a lag in bikini girls but next year, there’s 4 really good ones I can’t wait to see on stage.

@suleimyu
@amxsel
@lindseyweeks_fit
@carly_cuomo

We’ll see about @liftwithemilyanne_ and doing her pro figure figure debut

@lauren.fiit we’ll see where we like her next year figure or physique. She’s great in both.

Finally, our Yorton cup champ @kris10frey will be returning to the stage.

2027 gonna be good 🔥 No pressure ladies, just go out and execute.

Of course, this is just the start of the crew and we will grow from there. Who knows what other surprises we got up our sleeves.

Sometimes, more often than not, you start with a client and move right into prep. Many of these will have had some base foundation to bring them to stage.

🍑Butt🍑, when they do move right into prep and they start doing your workouts, they’re doing them more or less in a deficit. I won’t start many in any crazy ones either because I use time to bring them down so we preserve muscle. If you know, the workouts don’t change, what got you the muscle retains the muscle. The thing that changes is the diet. Now, once your client has finished the prep and they start going into my program with more food, well to me that’s SYNERGY they won’t know about until offseason comes.

I love watching clients hit my workouts with food, it’s a a game changer. So when I can and see my clients do the training with me year round, some really great things happen. Scott Sliker @blackwater_performance_inst has seen some great changes offseason. We’ve done a couple build/small cuts with Kimberly Sliker @poweredbycaffeineandchaos and she’s changed quite a bit. Now, Kayla Shaarda @michaela.shaarda.fit has already started seeing some good things only a few weeks into her post season. @saltopino we will see about this phenom. He’s something special. @lauren.fiit her time will come when she’s fit and able and her status will soon change for sure, another great young gun. Finally, I can’t wait to get another special competitor back on stage soon as well @suleimyu this one’s gonna be good. I know this one’s happening.

Time to be proud about the offseason and get the most out of it with food and some of the basics. Let’s get after it.
